StarLadder Major ticket information announced; event schedule adjusted

StarLadder has announced that tickets for the Champions Stage of its upcoming Counter-Strike Major will go on general sale later on Wednesday.

The ticket sale will go live at 18:00 through The Ticket Fairy and will come in regular and premium options, available both in single-day entrance and four-day bundles.

General admission tickets will cost between €25 (Thursday and Friday) and €35 (Saturday and Sunday), with the four-day entrance bundle having been priced at €99.

Single-day premium tickets, including a dedicated entrance, a seat in a premium area, a special attendee badge and access to a priority line in signing sessions, will be available for €50 for the first two days and €60 for the final two days of the event. The four-day premium bundle, priced at €249, will come with "a goodie bag with exclusive gifts".

Tickets for the StarLadder Major will go on sale today

Due to Germany's age restrictions, all attendees must be aged 16 or over to be allowed to enter the venue. According to the official ticket site, no exceptions will be made, even with a legal guardian present or written authorization.

The StarLadder Major will come to a close with the playoff stage at Mercedes-Benz Arena, located in Berlin, from September 5-8, in what will be the fourth CS:GO Major to be held on German soil, the first since 2016.

Meanwhile, StarLadder has announced that the schedule for the Challengers Stage has been trimmed from six days to just four, while the schedule for the Legends Stage has been pared down from six days to five. Contacted by HLTV.org, StarLadder noted that this represents "the first step towards reducing the footprint of CS:GO Majors on the global event schedule."

The updated schedule for the StarLadder Major looks as follows:

August 23-26 – Challengers Stage
August 28-September 1 – Legends Stage
September 5-8 – Champions Stage

LMAO Due to Germany's age restrictions, all attendees must be aged 16 or over to be allowed to enter the venue. So 50% less people in the crowd than on other majors

I can't agree with that. Cologne is often nearly sold out/ sold out. The major premium tickets have been sold out after one hour. I think that this favors the event. You should compare this with old cologne majors and if we do this... #CathedralofCounterStrike

Interesting. I wonder if Valve had any direct say in the schedule shortening due to their announced 2020/2021 plans or if StarLadder brought it up
2019-05-22 14:02
They did. They wanted to reduce the amount of days it Lasts. Its around here on HLTV the news and scheduling of the future majors. I think its not a bad thing, past Major i think there was several days without competition. So it takes off the dead time.
2019-05-22 14:06
Yeah I know about the plans to shorten the event in 2020/2021 but there was no mention of doing it for StarLadder 2019. That's why I'm wondering if Valve themselves went to the SL guys and asked them to shorten it as well, or if because of Valves announcement the SL guys told Valve they would shorten this major.
2019-05-22 14:07
Finally. Hope I get a 4 day pass.

I'm pretty sure we'll have at least 2 players in the major. Also I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I'm just saying that the top teams will adapt to the way ENCE play, hence the bombing out of the groups. They might prove me wrong, we'll see.

never visited MB arena before but premium has only 2 sectors based on my ticket, 103 and 104. Total capacity for the arena is around 17k. Hard to tell w/o digging deeper but my guess would be that premium seatings can maybe accommodate around 750....1000 ticketholders, hence that is roughly the number of premium tickets that were available, not to consider the ones reserved for VIPs. Considering that Berlin is fairly accessible to everyone around the EU, plus its failry cheap, no wonder they sold out in matter of hours.
2019-05-24 14:23
Bundle for 4 days has been gone in less then 1h... London 2018 and Katowice 2019 - locations easy to get to either, capacity at same level, prices has been lower and yet they figured out that annoucing sale 4h before ticket realease and solding out in 1h aint that great idea xD For London You had a lot of Premium tho due to how the arena works and at Katowice - You had 1000 premiums sold in 4 waves that everybody had chance to get one fair and square. Not just boom! Ones buying tickets instantly when others dont even know about tickets being on sale :D Organisation on highest lvl what to say :D I guess that i will be on the beach of some island for whole week instead of Major I guess, TY starLadder! :D
