NiP qualify for ECS Season 7 Finals as AVANGAR crash out in week 5 semis

NiP have claimed the fourth European qualifying spot at the ECS Season 7 Finals following AVANGAR's 2-1 defeat to fnatic in the last-four stage of the week 5 bracket.

The Kazakhstani side, who were the only team that could leapfrog NiP in the money leaderboard, will end the season with $15,000 in the bank, $2,750 less than what the Ninjas earned.

The ECS Week 5 bracket will come to an end on Friday with fnatic taking on the winner of the other semi-final - pitting FaZe against OpTic - for the grand prize of $12,000.

NiP through to the ECS S7 Finals with a helping hand from fnatic

The ECS Season 7 Finals will be held from June 6-9 at the SSE Arena in London, where eight teams will square off for their share of a $500,000 prize pool. The final qualifying spot will go to the team with the most prize money earned in the North American division, with MIBR currently leading the table after winning the week 4 tournament.

The team list for the British event currently looks as follows:

congrats nip!

Nip>Avangar objectively. In ECS, Avangar had 1 good result (2nd place to NIP) and 4 irrelevant. NIP had 2 good results and 1 irrelevant. Also no one baits harder or saves more than Jame, he makes Cold look like a team player!

This format is incredibly retarded, holy shit.
2019-05-23 04:47
This format is indeed terrible, some teams had only 1 week/opportunity to qualify. Very unfair overall.

If faze wins against optic and final then still there is no way faze can qualify for LAN final?

Nice for NiP but ECS Finals looks like a T2 event, just like Sydney
2019-05-23 10:14
"like a T2 event, just like Sydney" must be astralis fan pepeLaugh
2019-05-23 10:24
I like ENCE of the relevant teams. How wasn’t Sydney a T2 tournament?
2019-05-23 10:30
determined by this retarded format. Tier one teams are busy with lan tournaments and could not participate every week, thus those lower tier teams take the chance to qualify.
2019-05-23 11:02
I supported both teams on their way to the final stage. On one hand, sorry for AVANGAR not to take advantage of having five "bullets" to qualify for ECS - if those were the five tries to quaify for Major, it would have been a disband for sure (PS is it even fair to have so many tries?). On the other hand, when it boiled down to choosing one among them, I chose Ninjas. So, congratz NIP, go f0rest the GOAT!
