EU Minor Open Qualifier 1 day one concluded; top 16 teams found
From over 400 teams competing for two Closed Qualifier spots, the list has been narrowed down to 16 teams which will continue their battle tomorrow.
With the competition in Europe being more and more cutthroat every year, the interest for the Europe Minor Open Qualifiers is reaching an all-time high.
While the eight teams invited to the Closed Qualifier have been announced and include the likes of fnatic, mousesports, and North on the list, eight more teams will join them through the Open Qualifiers as they search for a path to the Major and international recognition.
The following teams reached the second day of the Europe Minor Open Qualifier 1:

Five Polish teams managed to fight their way through the qualifier today, with Germany and Denmark also strongly represented with two teams each. As the bracket reached the top16 point, the games will end for the day and continue tomorrow from 17:00 . Check out our event page for more information.
22:05 NoChance, Sprout amongst first to reach top16
With the first round-of-32 matches finished, some teams that will be continuing tomorrow have been found. NoChance reached top16 with a confident win over FcottoNd, Sprout took down TheDice, with ALTERNATE aTTaX joining them by defeating Lilmix.

In the Round-of-64, NoChance edged out MIKSTURA in an overtime game on Nuke, 22-19, with Martin "STYKO" Styk leading the fragging with 40 kills. In other matches, ALTERNATE aTTaX eliminated Turkey5, while Copenhagen Flames upset GamerLegion off the back of Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen's 37-20 K-D.
Another big upset was LDLC losing to Polish side DENZAAAA 16-12 thanks to Marcin "Shatar" Lubowicki's 32-14 K-D game, and another French side, ex-3DMAX, also fell to a underdog, RS-_-.

Following his exit from Virtus.pro, Paweł "byali" Bieliński has created a new version of MIKSTURA. Last time around, while being on the bench of Virtus.pro, the Pole led his side to the IEM Katowice Minor Closed Qualifier, and will try to do so again with Konrad "EXUS" Jeńczeń, Tomasz "ToM223" Richter, Michał "Czapel" Czapla, and Miłosz "mhL" Knasiak along his side.
The Poles are likely to meet against Danish mix "-D-D-D" in the next round, featuring AcilioN, Michael "Friis" Jørgensen, and Rasmus "SandeN" Sanden.
