ECS Season 7 Finals groups determined
FACEIT has unveiled the groups and first-round clashes for the LAN Finals of ECS Season 7.
The SSE Arena will host from June 6-9 the ECS Season 7 Finals, where the top four teams of the European and North American divisions will square off for their share of a $500,000 prize pool.
In both regions, three teams qualified as the winners of the first three regular-season brackets, with a fourth team being determined by the amount of prize money earned over the course of the season.
The eight contestants have been split into two double-elimination groups, featuring a best-of-one format in the opening round. The top two teams from both groups will advance to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.
Back-to-back ECS champions Astralis will take on FURIA in Group A, which also features two other top 10 teams in NiP and NRG. Vitality, who are currently ranked fifth in the world, will lock horns with Complexity in Group B, with MIBR and North facing each other in the other match.
