Party Astronauts, New Identity earn Americas Minor NA closed qualifier spots

Party Astronauts and New Identity have secured spots in the North American closed qualifier for the Americas Minor after finishing top two in the second open bracket.

New Identity became the first team to qualify for the closed stage after cruising through the final rounds of the open bracket. Skyler "⁠Relyks⁠" Weaver' side, who had narrowly lost to TeamOne in the first qualifier, made light work of LiViD and Lowkey before taking down Jaccob "⁠yay⁠" Whiteaker's Bad News Bears in a two-map series.

The task was not as straightforward for the Party Astronauts, who had to sweat to break into the top two. Ian "⁠motm⁠" Hardy's side dispatched their first two opponents of the day, Thunder Logic and New England Whalers, with ease, but needed three maps to beat The Quest, pulling through with two 16-14 wins.

Relyks' New Identity advance to the closed bracket

For the second time, The Quest were a semi-final faller in the open qualifiers, but they will be fancying their chances of reaching the closed stage, with two open qualifiers still left to play.
