Tricked, Nordavind secure Europe Minor Closed Qualifier spots

Two more Europe Minor Closed Qualifier teams have been decided as Tricked defeated Aristocracy and Nordavind beat FrenchFrogs in the semi finals of Open Qualifier 3.

Two veterans of the game clashed in the first semi-final that took place as Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas's Aristocracy took on Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen's Tricked. The Danes handled ALTERNATE aTTaX and Giants earlier in the day, while the Poles, who were playing with Olek "hades" Miskiewicz instead of Karol "rallen" Rodowicz, defeated PACT and Copenhagen Flames to make it to the last game of the Open Qualifier 3.

Tricked picked Dust2 to start it off and won the T pistol, only to lose to the following force buy as Mikołaj "mouz" Karolewski and Jacek "MINISE" Jeziak wrecked havoc with a Deagle and a Scout. Aristocracy grabbed the early lead off of that, 4-2, but only finished the half with seven rounds as Johannes "b0RUP" Borup's multikills denied them momentum half-way through. After winning the CT pistol, Tricked went on to take a seven-round lead (14-7), closing out the map shortly, 16-10.

Third time was the charm for HUNDEN and his pack

Mirage followed, where Tricked started as CTs and quickly ran up a 6-2 lead. Aristocracy then won a 2v2 afterplant, only for the Danish side to go on another winning streak, this time taking five in a row to finish the half 11-4 up. The Poles went four for one at the start of their CT half, reaching eight rounds, but with Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen leading the way Tricked saw their opponents off, 16-8, to win the series and secure a closed qualifier spot.

 Tricked K - D +/- ADR Rating 2.0

The second semi saw FrenchFrogs, who edged out Ancient and AGO after overtime matches, take on Nordavind who eliminated two highly-ranked teams, Epsilon and Movistar Riders.

The first map of the series was Nuke, the pick of David "Davidp" Prins and co., but the Norwegians were strong on the offense, keeping their opponents on just eight rounds in the first half. After the switch, FrenchFrogs looked great and quickly reached map point, 15-10, but Nordavind held on by the skin of their teeth to force overtime. Three sets of added rounds were played before the victor was found, with Haris "H4RR3" Hadzic's 1.21 rated map giving Nordavind the edge.

A 6-1 start as CT set up Nordavind for success on Inferno, but a 3K from Davidp got FrenchFrogs back on track, breaking their opponents' bank. Thanks to that, the Frenchmen managed to end the first half with a minimal, one-round deficit. They took the lead straight away in the second half and once again reached the match point, 15-13, but couldn't close out a 1v2 against Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli and once again went into overtime. In the added rounds, Nordavind once again showed more and took the map 19-16, 2-0 for the series.

Always the same excuse. I really try to support portuguese fans, but every single time they come up with excuses. With the same fucking ping Movistar Riders is 9-0 in MDL, so its just a matter of skill and practice.

they have better ping in spain than giants in portugal, they cant use this excuse always, tricked are better, but playing with ping above 50 surely helps losing.Thats why giants are better in LAN

Riders play with ~50 ping. The difference between Madrid and Lisbon is not enough to justify giants performance online. About the lan thing, it's just that while other teams underperform in Lan, giants grows and get more hyped
