Complexity add oBo as stanislaw steps down*

Complexity have announced that they have added 15-year-old talent Owen "oBo" Schlatter to their Counter-Strike roster.

The North American organisation did not disclose who oBo will be replacing, but, according to a report from Dexerto, Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz is the one making way for the young talent.

oBo is widely regarded as one of the most promising talents in North America. After playing for teams like Adaptation, FeelsUnderAgeMan and Swole Patrol, he will now get his first shot at professional Counter-Strike in a team that continue to add fresh blood to their roster look to return to the top 30 in the world rankings.

stanislaw has stepped down from the starting lineup

The 15-year-old will face a baptism of fire for his new team as he will debut at the ECS Season 7 Finals, which will kick off on Thursday. The North American team have been drawn in Group B along with MIBR, North and Vitality, taking on the in-form French side in their first match on British soil.

* After the announcement, stanislaw stated that he will be the player to step down from Complexity's active roster to make way for the youngster, 14 months after joining the team with which he reached a top 8 finish at the FACEIT Major in London.

With oBo's addition, Complexity now have:

United States Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan
United Kingdom Rory "dephh" Jackson
Australia Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland
United States Hunter "SicK" Mims
United States Owen "oBo" Schlatter

United States Matt "Warden" Dickens (coach)
Canada Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz (Inactive)

Take it from coL to keep making poor roster decisions, this is basically a 2nd neptune, a poor excuse of a pick up where "age" is the biggest factor, when in reality it's not. There's no guarantee you get better as you get older, you can stagnate quite easily.

NAs best IGL is nitr0. Stop giving players credit they havent earned.

 |
Estonia RopzTop1
Nitr0 is overrated tbh, he's just been blessed to have some of NA's best players around him for years bc he's a Liquid veteran, an org that actually spends money on their players. Look at who stanislaw is playing with.
2019-06-04 08:40
You realize stan was at one point on Liquid and was nitr0s IGL right? He had every opportunity to be as successful as Nitr0 is and lead the same group of players. Just so happens that the team preferred Nitr0s leadership at the time, could that possibly be because they felt he would become a stronger IGL? Definite possibility. Comparing Liquids tactics and cohesion to CoL and Optic? Just not even a debate. Liquid has better utility usage, trading, a deeper playbook, more setups and innovative grenades/setups and are more on top of the meta than CoL is, they simply have more effective theory and strategy. A large part of fragging is making kills easier through teamplay and tactics. Liquids stats are not only due to great skill but also to getting more "easy kills" than most teams. Not to mention nitr0 brings better fragging to his teams than stan. Throghout his entire career hes posted better numbers and even used to be considered a top 3 rilfer in NA. Stan is no slouch but not nitr0s caliber. Furthermore you dont beat teams like Astralis and Ence by just by having a lot of skill on your team. To beat them, especially Astralis, you have to have a variety of tactics and very solid teamplay otherwise you'll just get eaten alive by their fundamentals regardless of your players skill and you must consistently adapt throughout the game to keep up. Stanislaw is playing with those players because of his own career decisions and "burned bridges" he has a great mind for the game but definitely isnt the easiest IGL to work with and him now being benched/stepping down from CoL is proof of that. If hes as good as you say he is (the best IGL in NA) he should be improving the team and getting more players to look at the team and potentially join and increase the talent around him, as you would logically assume - talent attracts talent. If hes the best IGL players should be flocking to work with him but if anything it seems the opposite.

They need to revamp like Envy are doing. New Envy: Nifty S0m Sonic Tenz Mitch New Complexity maybe Stanislaw/Vanity Shazam Sick Marke Food/Obo My complexity idea isn’t as good, but the Envy idea should definitely happen
