ECS Season 7 Finals viewer's guide

With ECS Season 7 Finals set to kick off on Thursday, we have put together a comprehensive viewer's guide for the $500,000 event.

The ECS Season 7 Finals will take place on June 6-9, where the top four teams from the North American and European divisions will face off for their share of the prize pool.

The tournament will feature two GSL groups, with best-of-one opening matches and best-of-three elimination and decider games. The top two sides from both groups will then progress to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs, which will take place at the SSE Arena.

Astralis will kick off the event against FURIA

Back-to-back ECS champions Astralis will kick off the event by taking on FURIA in Group A, which also features NiP and NRG. In Group B, Complexity, who will be fielding new recruit Owen "oBo" Schlatter, will be squaring off against Vitality, while MIBR go up against North in the other match.

expecting M16R out in groups
2019-06-04 18:03
it's like nip might actually surprised, they looked really decent with dennis rising form, but at the same time they can just bomb out of there, losing to nrg in the first, and probably furia in the second game (bo3). i guess that's what it means to be a nip fan? :-) #GONINJAS
2019-06-04 18:05
They'll beat Astralis in the lower bracket game mens )))

Group A kinda stacked

Finland 0lter
No ence no liquid no party hahaahahahaa what a trash tournament
2019-06-04 18:26
liquid had 3 chances to qualify lol. navi and ence dont want to qualify cuz they sucked at these events in the past.
2019-06-04 19:07
Finland 0lter
Ence has never even tried to qualify to ECS Navi does fuck up at qualifying through the ladder, yet on the actual lan they wreck (maybe you should have invites for this exact reason so lucky shitters like avangar or heroic dont get in with one lucky match). Same thing for liquid
2019-06-04 19:11
if they dont play good at those qualifiers, even when its online, its obviously like they lost the tournemant if you cant even qualify when other trash teams play, its just bad performance. navi played shit even at lan recently. also fucked up the qualifier for the qualifier lol liquid had 3 weeks to qualify, lost to rogue, played absolute shit. choked last week vs mibr on mirage ence doesnt want to play qualifier, their fault. 2 big tournemants are out of the way for them.
2019-06-04 19:18
Finland 0lter
Online online and online Shit happens, faze lost to VP a few weeks ago in ecs qualis Sure they lost to heroic, but lets just watch them bomb the lan in the first rounds when navi would have went all the way "2 big tournemants are out of the way for them" Big? Theres only 2 teams in the top 5 to play against in the ECS, one of which arguably hasnt achieved anything of note ever. How is this a big tournament?
2019-06-04 19:39
it is shown as big event. there are 5/10 from the top10 at finals 8/10 attended ecs, ence dont play it, navi is still mad cuz they couldnt qualify last time they all attended ecs. they lost the tournemant by not qualifying. if that event isnt big then iem sydney wasnt big either bro
2019-06-04 19:50
Finland 0lter
IEM sidney wasnt big lmao liquid was the only good team attending faze even had standin hahha
2019-06-04 19:54
wtf is big for you? starseries also not? only major this year? 6 out of top10 were at sydney that time
2019-06-04 19:56
Finland 0lter
Major is big, cologne is big, dallas was big, ss 7 was big, even the EPL is big Plenty of big tournies but this aint it 6 out of top10 were at sydney that time" How many top 5? Liquid. faze had standin Thats not big, the winner was known before start lmao
2019-06-04 19:58
starseries was with 3 top5 teams, only 1 of top3 and renegades not top5 worthy astralis and liquid, the huge favourites werent there but its big for you?? where the fuck do you draw the line
2019-06-04 20:00
Finland 0lter
Vitality isnt top 5 worthy either lmao Either its top 5 or it isnt you cant base this off of your own value of teams
2019-06-04 20:01
answer my question pls. vitality is shit yeah. still doesnt change the fact that 8 of top10 attended ecs s7
2019-06-04 20:02

Wow battle of who gets to be in top 10 how exciting In all honesty i would rather watch competing for world top 1 or 3

Brazil nakTriceps
FURIA will upset them on BO1, Thursday, you saw here first.
2019-06-04 20:09
when its not nuke or vertigo, im pretty sure astralis will win it. astralis could be a bit rusty tho, but the mappool is just too strong here.
2019-06-04 20:16
Brazil nakTriceps
Wait and see.
2019-06-04 20:18
Seing out Furia upsetted a lot of teams last week, i bet astralis will be prepared for that. Either way, they way furia plays is like either rekt or get rekt vs top teams.
2019-06-05 13:59
FURIA is so fckn good, dude. They are not an experienced team, yet. Have you ever thought about that? Imagine this team with all these experiences in big LANS. They already have Moche (not big, but good cuz of the crowd), Cologne and probably Major. They´ll arrive in Starladder with much more experience than now.
2019-06-06 15:00
Ye honestly props to them for being this good with non experienced players. Feels good to have some new teams on top scene! It actually hypes me up to watch a game when they are playing! You never knoww atht o expect
2019-06-06 15:03
Yep. We need new teams doing this stuff to keep on our motivation to watch cs! Btw, I wanted FURIA x NiP BO3. FURIA x NRG already faced each other a few times. Against NiP only one time. But ok.
2019-06-06 15:06
I wanted furia Astralis bo3, sad it couldnt happen ^^'' Hope i can have an other Vitality furia so we can take our revenge
2019-06-06 15:09
VItality x MIBR will be very good, too. FURIA x Astralis BO3 could happen, dude. If FURIA lose to NRG, probably it´ll be FURIA x Ast in decider BO3. But I hope FURIA ends first in the group. haha
2019-06-06 15:39
And we´ll have MIBR x Vitality hahaha Nice match.
2019-06-06 16:06
Lol Vita lost to north... WTFF. At least ye, we will get vita x mibr, well if mibr win against complexity (pls don't choke like vs north)
2019-06-07 11:04
I thought MIBR was coming back... wtf HAHAHAHA 14 x 3 and lost to North. Now, in their pick (Train) losing 15-3, wtf. We´ll see what happens on Vertigo, omfg. FURIA probably will lose to Astralis now on BO3 but it´ll be a very interesting match to follow. gg´s my FR brotha.
2019-06-07 14:40
Omg man... Wtf is happening with mibr :o Yeah i will be looking for astralis x Furia as well! Hope to see a 3 maps match. If mibr loose, srsly vitality better kick complexity's ass
2019-06-07 14:43
If MIBR lose, it´ll be a clean 2-0 for Vita. coL in playoffs wouldn´t that attractive, despite of the oBo thing.

2019-06-05 00:23
Man, I Based This on Recent Tournaments, Im wrong ? Furia shows a Nice CS against Top 10 Teams Mibr Just Show They Can Destroy Astralis and defeat liquid 2 time ( WAS ONLINE GAME HAHAHA ), Online have so much prblms like Network Connection and Worst Tickrate... Isnt because im a Brazillian, The recent numbers show that... Furia can easy reach to playoffs, astralis is the only team can beat them, and Mibr has a Easy Group Stage... so Can be a BR Final easy
2019-06-05 01:56
Man, I am based on recent tournaments. Am I wrong? FURIA showed a nice game against top 10 teams. MIBR just showed they can destroy Astralis and has defeated liquid twice in an online match even though there are some problems such as connection issues. It isn’t because I’m Brazilian, the record shows that. FURIA can easily reach playoffs being Astralis the only team that can beat them, and MIBR has an easy group stage, thus it can be a Brazilian final easily.
2019-06-05 04:08
This is a post about Col and Vitality, go play your auto replay harp elsewhere
2019-06-06 00:38
So ? They show one more time... I Sayed, FURIA CAN BEAT ASTRALIS
2019-06-06 15:11
Furia won because of the upsetting potential, no one was prepared to such messy strats. They play really fast and very aggressive, but now top5 knows it and it happened once, won't happens twice.
2019-06-05 14:56
Now was the upsetting potential ? This comeback is a upset ? Furia its a great team!111 Why everybody can admit this ?
2019-06-06 15:13
They never played Astralis before, and Astralis lost twice in a row on Nuke. I do think that Furia is a great team, indeed it is, but again they'll need to improve all their strategy because now this is strategically painful to watch, it's just some kind of rushes everytime, almost no construction were everything is based on skill (Wich can be good, but at a long term it's definitely not ideal)
2019-06-06 15:37
2019-06-04 22:42
