North defeat Vitality; book playoff spot in London

North beat Vitality 2-1 in the Group B winners' match to advance to the playoffs at the ECS Season 7 Finals.

The best-of-three winners' match between Vitality and North kicked off on Nuke, which was the French team's pick. After securing the first two rounds, the T-sided Vitality made it 3-0 thanks to Alex "ALEX" McMeekin's 1vs2 victory in the first gun round.

North weathered the storm following a 2-7 start to the game as they went on to win the last six rounds in the first half to lead 8-7 at halftime. North led 12-11 after the first eight rounds in the second half but couldn't extend their lead as ALEX denied Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså's 1vs2 attempt in the 24th round (12-12).

North are through to the semis

Vitality then picked up three more rounds on defense to earn three map points. Despite losing a 5vs2 in their first attempt, Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt and company remained poised, closing out the map with a 16-13 scoreline.

North started Inferno on defense and won the first two rounds. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut responded with a 1vs2 clutch in the first gun round to get Vitality on the scoreboard but the French team lost a 5vs3 in the following round. Even though they trailed 7-2 at one point, Vitality managed to cut the deficit to one round before the half's conclusion (8-7).

The Danish team picked up six of the first seven rounds in the second half, extending their lead to 14-8. Just when Vitality were about to secure their fourth consecutive round, North won the 26th round with pistols to earn four map points (15-11). They wrapped it up in the following round to win the map 16-11.

Vitality picked up only one round on the CT-side of Dust2

The teams traded blows to start the decider, Dust2, where they were tied after twelve rounds. The CT-sided North stepped up to the plate towards the end of the first half as they took the last three rounds, during which they only lost two players (9-6).

North reached double-digits with the second pistol round victory and made it 13-7 after winning a 3vs5 in the 20th round. The Danes earned eight series points by taking the A-site in the following round and finished off the map with a 16-7 score. With the 2-1 series victory, North have moved on to the playoffs at the ECS Season 7 Finals.

all 4 of the Vitality players are useless. Zywoo is the team. He either carries them or plays average and they fall flat on their faces. SnakeBK just wanted to lure Zywoo away from shox and have him for himself so he can stay relevant

2019-06-07 00:25
all of them have almost the same kills, and shox is the biggest snake, he kicked 4776474 players and still didnt make g2 top team
2019-06-07 04:48
What? NBK helped to assemble the best french team in years out of nothing and somehow that makes him a snake?
2019-06-07 06:39
what do you mean helped to assemble? he destroyed G2 when they were doing well because he is a snake. Only good player on this 'best french team in years' is Zywoo.

2019-06-07 07:30
so expected, some retard baguettes thought this vitality team are some new top 1 team or some shit but in reality it is easier said than done to go from event to event and continue your good form, your true level will show and u might even play worse but ofc if it was TL for instance I have no doubt they would still be solid here unlike vitality...
