Vitality to ECS semi-finals over Complexity

Vitality have locked the last semi-finals spot at ECS Season 7 Finals following a 2-0 win over Complexity (Dust2 16-13, Nuke 16-8).

Having eliminated MIBR in their previous match, Complexity looked to cause another upset, choosing Dust2 to start off their deciding series against Vitality. The opening map was going back and forth in the first half, with the North American side grabbing an early 4-2 lead following a couple of key plays from Rory "dephh" Jackson before Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut responded with two of his own to bring it back in his team's favor.

The French side ended up going over to Terrorists with a one-round lead after Owen "oBo" Schlatter and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire each put in a big triple in the late stages of the half, and they extended the advantage to four on the back of Cédric "RpK" Guipouy's three kills up against mid aggression from Complexity.

Vitality are through to the semi-finals at ECS

Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland's key flank in tunnels turned it back around and his team went on a four-round streak to equalize things at 11-11, and neither team could establish a favorable position until the 27th round. Alex "ALEX" McMeekin then stepped up with two big plays, a quad-kill including a 1v2 as well as a triple, securing the map for Vitality at 16-13.

Nuke began with a back-and-forth as Vitality secured the pistol round on the T side and Complexity responded with the second-round forcebuy, courtesy of a triple from Rickeh, but the Frenchmen were back in control when RpK and ALEX turned around a 2v5. Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt's men rallied to a 5-1 lead, but a couple of losses to pistol buys saw the scoreline equalized at 6-6, before the favorites closed out the half 9-6.

Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan gave his team the second pistol round with a 1v2 clutch, lowering the deficit to just one round, but an eco victory gave the reins over to Vitality again. From there on they never let go, with ALEX and ZywOo locking down a couple of clutches en route to a comfortable 16-8, 2-0 series victory.

The kid is good. I give you that, but his teammates? Humm, no. Mibr with taco/felps is just a t3 team. I feel sorry for cold.
2019-06-08 11:21
Yeah that’s fair. That’s why I said Obo and not CoL. Obo needs a better team.
