Valiance rebrand as CR4ZY
The organization formerly known as Valiance, home to the current #17 team in the world, has now rebranded as CR4ZY.
After signing the Serbian Binary Dragons roster in late 2017, Valiance became a household name after several roster changes which included bringing on Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas, and Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo, who joined the two remaining original players Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač and Nestor "LETN1" Tanić as Luka "emi" Vuković took on coaching duties.
With the current roster, the team peaked at #14 in the rankings this May after a semi-final run at DreamHack Open Rio and a second place at DreamHack Open Tours, and are currently holding the #17 spot.
Under the new banner, CR4ZY are slated to play at DreamHack Open Summer, in Jönköping, Sweden, as well as the closed qualifiers for the Europe Minor and ESL One New York. As far as league play goes, CR4ZY are currently first in ESEA MDL, with a clean 13-0 record.
The statement from the organization reads as follows:
VALIANCE IS DEAD
After a series of impressive achievements in the last year and a half, Valiance is going through some CR4ZY changes.
Within the year and a half from signing the roster known as Binary Dragons, esports organization Valiance has succeeded to propel its CS:GO roster from flirting with a top 40 placement to a solid powerhouse closing in on that top 10 spot. The team's passion and dedication were never in question but the company's name wasn't reflecting its personality, and for that reason, change needed to happen.
Esports teams are much more than a name or accomplishments... They represent an organization's personality, which stretches far beyond that roster of five players you see every day in the server. While Valiance is always considered as an underdog against the best of the best, they don't seem to mind that as they are always going full-throttle for the kill against whichever opponent is put against them. Provocative and disruptive, CR4ZY questions industry standards and confronts the unoriginal brands that have become a caricature of themselves.
Antonio Meic, the organization's CEO, added:
We have a plucky underdog spirit, a wicked sense of humor and we are not afraid to go against anyone, and for that reason, it's time to go HARD, it's time to go CR4ZY.
CR4ZY's lineup, which hasn't changed after the rebranding, is:
