zewsy and ofnu officially part of Chiefs
Chiefs officially became more Kiwi as ofnu and zewsy were signed onto the roster after a three month period on loan from ICON, the organization formerly known as Tainted Minds. The duo, who were founding members of Chiefs when the organization entered the CS:GO ecosystem in 2015, were brought back on in March to replace Jesse "InfrequeNt" Barker and Mohammed "MoeycQ" Tizani.
During these three months, ofnu and zewsy helped Chiefs win the IEM Sydney Derby 2019, which qualified the team to the biggest event in Oceania, where they went out in 9-12th place with a victory over ViCi and losses to FaZe and fnatic.
Losses to Grayhound put a damper on their ESL Pro League Season 9 Asia run, going out in 5-6th place, but domestically Chiefs are in this season's ESEA MDL semi-finals, and will play the ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 8 Finals taking place this weekend in Sydney.
"In our eyes, zewsy and ofnu were always a part of the team, we were just waiting on both ICON and Chiefs to get the deal done. We haven't had the most successful run results-wise so far, but we're extremely confident we have the players to achieve our goals domestically and internationally."
Chiefs' lineup remains as before, and is:
