It's so fucking fucked up man. Liquid are the fucking #1 team in the world and have to play North and Faze to get to playoffs. Those are the #6 and #9 in the world. Astralis on the other hand, a washed up team who haven't done anything in the last 3 months are going to play against the fucking shittiest squad ever followed by fucking Detona or their little brothers Heroic. It's so fucked up.

It's so fucked up - #6 vs #8 as one opening while another opening is #25 vs fucking #56. And fucking Blastralis have a free ticket to playoffs thanks to it... These drawings are stupid.

I wonder how the seeding happened actually. Do the teams decide the ranking of the different teams or is it random?

Sweden pontus767
No idea. It's just stupid. 5 teams in group B deserving playoffs, only 1 can make it out. 2 teams in group A deserving playoffs, NRG and Fnatic. Guess what? They play in their fucking opening game, even worse, fucking washed up Astralis get a free ticket to playoffs. What is this?

I'm not gonna say that Astralis is washed up, but their form is up the air right now. We will most likely see where they're at in the play-offs.

Sweden pontus767
That's the problem. Since they haven't showed anything in the last 3 months, what they should do now is showing off where they're at in groups, to prove that they're worthy of being in the playoffs. There's only one team at the event that deserve a free ticket to playoffs, Liquid. The worlds best team.

2019-06-12 23:39
Don't like this format. Make opening matches BO3 too and 8 teams go to the playoffs so that you don't have any team getting a BYE to the semifinals, seeding is enough, make 4 quarterfinals.

100% agree. I would prefer player seeded tournament too, would make it so you dont get stuff like astralis playing the two easiest teams while other top teams play multiple top tier games

It's so stupid. Using HLTV ranking or player selected seeds would be so much better
2019-06-12 23:53
Their seeding is shit but using HLTV rankings isn't exactly much better ... I mean right now it doesn't mean anything you have so much fluctuations, teams skipping events, teams with new player etc

I guess the seeding is made by the ranking during the qualifications : - 2 teams finishing 1st during the 1st groupstage of EU qualification (G2/Astralis) against 2 teams finishing 2-3th during the 2nd groupstage of NA/ASIA qualification (Grayhound - CLoud9) - 2 teams finishing 1st during the 1st groupstage of NA/ASIA qualification (NRG/DETONA lol) against 2 teams finishing 2-3th during the 2nd groupstage of EU qualification (fnatic - heroic) etc....
