CS:GO Asia Championships 2019 announced with $300,000 prize pool

Perfect World has announced the first details about the 2019 edition of the CS:GO Asia Championships, featuring $300,000 in prize money.

The event will be held from November 21-24 at an as yet undisclosed venue in Shanghai and will feature eight teams, seven invited and one coming out of a Chinese qualifier.

ENCE, MIBR and TYLOO are the first teams confirmed by Perfect World for the event, with more invites expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Of the three, only the Chinese side was in attendance at last year's tournament, where they managed to reach the semi-finals.

ENCE invited to the 2019 CS:GO Asia Championships

Natus Vincere won the 2018 CS:GO Asia Championships after beating Virtus.pro in a three-map grand final. It was the second tournament won by the CIS side during their impressive summer run and it earned Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev - who would go on to be named the best player of 2018 - the sixth MVP medal of his career.

The team list for the CS:GO Asia Championships currently looks as follows:

Finland ENCE
China TYLOO

But shouldn't be. Asia has, like, 2/5ths of the World population, and more, if you count Africa. I hope we get a strong scene by 2020 Atleast.

India has a good asian scene, whereas here in Pakistan, its a dead, shitty scene with players who are barely GE

India only has the premiership. That's it. Pakistan actually is much ahead of India in Esports, due to their Fighting Game community. Look up Arslan Ash if you can, that guy put Pakistan onto the Fighting Game Community World map by winning EVO Japan on Tekken 7.

Bro, India is wayyy ahead of Pakistan in eSports. Sure, our Tekken scene is big and good, but thats it. Other eSports here are either dead, or shit. CSGO was a thing about a year or two, but now its dead. It was growing last year, but it has all of a sudden stopped. Dota2 is dead as well. The only noticible player being SumaiL, and thats it. Dont even ask the Rainbow6 scene. That has never ever been a thing here. When it comes to India, its much, much better and bigger. India has a much better and bigger cs scene, a much bigger Dota scene, a BIGGER eSports overall. Not only that, ur eSports is growing quite heavily. Coming back to cs, your country has also played in a major, which is huge. So in the end, Indian eSports is much bigger and better. (I'm not tryna start a fight or anything, just telling something which is the truth.)

It's probably China's most important tournament that happens every year. I've heard some Chinese teams earn more prize money than NA teams, simply cuz they have more local tournaments.
