Windigo to Moche XL grand final over Virtus.pro

Windigo defeated Virtus.pro 2-1 in the Moche XL Esports semis to advance to the grand final in Lisbon, Portugal (15-19 on Nuke, 16-14 on Overpass, and 16-5 on Mirage).

The best-of-three series kicked off on Virtus.pro's map pick, Nuke, where the CT-sided Windigo won the pistol round with a 4vs5 retake. The Polish team got on the scoreboard three rounds later when Arek "Vegi" Nawojski picked up two opening kills (3-1).

Virtus.pro secured two more rounds to go ahead and could have extended their lead if they hadn't lost against an eco in the eighth round (4-4). After losing two more rounds, the Poles hit back with an eco victory of their own to trail 6-5. Virtus.pro took the last three rounds of the half to lead 8-7 at halftime.

Windigo will face the winner of FURIA vs. GamerLegion

Windigo equalized by winning the second pistol round, in which Yanko "blocker" Panov and Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov both got two kills. The Bulgarian team's effective offense earned them six more rounds, making it 14-8. Virtus.pro won a 2vs3 in the 23rd round to keep Windigo off map point but the Bulgarians got there two rounds later (15-10). However, Virtus.pro denied all five map points and took the game to overtime.

The Polish squad began overtime by winning a 3vs5 and extended their lead to 17-15 thanks to Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski's 1vs2 clutch in the following round. Virtus.pro earned three map points by getting all three rounds on the CT-side and closed out the map with Snax's triple kill on offense (19-15).

Virtus.pro went out in 3-4th place

Valentin "poizon" Vasilev opened up Windigo's map pick, Overpass, with a triple kill to win the pistol round on the T-side. The Bulgarian team led 9-1 after the first ten rounds and finished the first half with a 10-5 lead.

Virtus.pro managed to come back from 12-5 on the T-side, tying the game at 14-14. Windigo won a 2vs3 post-plant in the penultimate round to earn one map point and converted it to win 16-14.

Windigo put their foot down on Mirage and took 12 rounds on the CT-side. Virtus.pro attained the first two rounds to start the second half but Windigo won a 3vs5 in the 18th round to make it 13-5. The Bulgarians wrapped up the map with a 16-5 score, winning the series 2-1 and advancing to the grand final.

You clearly do not know cs that much, those are typical spots to be, most of the times they were lucky but worked because they practiced. Otherwise they wouldn't have reached this point in professional cs

Proud of the improvements the team has made lately, Vegi has a flu... they game could’ve been won otherwise

You can't blame the loss on someone having a flu, the games were close and they lost, so obviously in the end Windigo played a better game, eventho this could probably have been a better final than the one we saw where Windigo just destroyed GamerLegion. The improvements are good, but I still remember the good old times when VP was actually good and this type of event was a piece of cake for them, eventho I never was a fan of the team.
