DreamHack Open Summer winner to be invited to Masters Malmö

DreamHack has announced that the champion of DreamHack Open Summer 2019 will earn a spot at the organizer's next $250,000 tournament in Malmö, while the all-woman DreamHack Showdown will give out a spot for DreamHack Open Rotterdam.

The news was announced during the broadcast of DreamHack Open Summer, on the second day of the three-day tournament in Jönköping, Sweden. Interestingly, it was also revealed that the teams competing compete at the tournament weren't aware of this prior to the official announcement.

The first DreamHack Masters Malmö attendee will be found soon

This is the first time DreamHack has linked one of their Open events to a $250,000 Masters, which are a part of the Intel Grand Slam circuit. DreamHack Masters Malmö will feature 16 teams and take place on October 1-6.

Alongside this announcement, DreamHack revealed a similar one regarding the all-women DreamHack Showdown, which will take place in Valencia on July 5-7 and feature eight teams and a $100,000 prize pool. The winner of the Showdown will qualify for DreamHack Open Rotterdam, the tournament organizer's next Open stop which will take place on October 18-20.

I have NO idea why they chose that name, it's just... Too cr4zy, and they aren't even 4, they're 5, why's there a 4 there. Frickin' weird. Valiance was fine, Anything else, but THAT.

We will seed them based on the HLTV ranking, which will probably result in the bottom seed. :-)
