Renegades join BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles team list

Renegades have accepted an invitation to compete at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles, the event's organisers announced on Monday.

The Australian giants will take the final slot in the $250,000 competition, joining another wild card invite in NRG and four circuit teams - FaZe, MIBR, Liquid and Cloud9.

This will be the first-ever BLAST Pro Series event for Renegades, who will be eager to re-enter the top 10 in the rankings after reaching their highest-ever position of fifth in April.

Renegades will be at BLAST Pro Series LA next month

Having failed to qualify for the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, Renegades will get back to action in early July at ESL One Cologne - their second event since Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai returned to the roster from a short period on the sidelines due to visa issues.

Blast Pro Series Los Angeles will take place from July 13-14 at the HD Buttercup Building. It will be the first event in the tournament's history to feature best-of-three semi-finals after the round-robin stage as part of what RFRSH Entertainment describes as the Front Row Experience,

The final team list for the event is the following:

New Zealand Sean 'Gratisfaction' Kaiwai

they are trying to mix it up. there were only 7 teams in the past: astralis, mibr, c9, navi, nip, faze and liquid. now that they get accused for making it an exclusive tournament they are trying to clean up their image.

only one EU team omegalul and its faze .... +ugly format +na crowd Even ence said to themselves "we need to quit the Teamlist" (or do u actually they wouldn't invite the last winner)

Considering that they prioritize 7 teams above ence, i'd say its pretty likely. Granted, only 4 of those 7 teams is playing but the remaining two teams is teams based in NA and teams that havent played at one before.

Ence just hit top 5 [10] shortly before the start of the last plast pro (in Spain). so there should be no reason to go for ence besides their ranking than. Considering they went for a good team with ence and Not just for local fans, I come to my conclusion and say Ence rejected their offer (for various reasons).

Ence already have 2 events in july where both is more prestigious than blast. No need to overschedule themselves. Doesn't change that my point still stands. 7 teams is prioritized above ence. And 2 NA local teams is still up there. So it is likely that they wouldn't invite ence even though they won last event. Not saying that they didn't but Blast usually go for 4-6 of those 7 priority teams and then the remaining spots to local teams or high end invites(top local teams still prioritized over other top teams). And so what if teams say no to invitations. Hell, liquid said no to ESL One Cologne though they came to regret that decision because of all the community chatter. That doesn't make Cologne any less of a big and prestigious event, now does it?

im sure ence declined their invitation ... as u also stated their are better events in july ... this is WHAT I WAS SAYING!!! if an event isnt attended by TL it doesnt lose its value im here on the same page as u ... but an event with 1 top 5 team and another from top 10 isnt tier1! And therefore bad if it holds it standarts higher.

You also said that they wouldn't possible exclude the winner of the last event from their invite list which i so kindly explained to you that they would if they could.

Did u mean : "(...) would[n't] if they could"? And ya I was basically implying this argument cuz It would have only let to me repeating my self and my comment would've maybe been "tltr" ...

Why would I mean wouldn't? They would exclude ence from the invite list if it meant them getting 6 of their contracted teams.
2019-06-20 08:02
Ya they have 7 go to teams that need to attend 5 events (Faze, Liquid, Astralis, Cloud9, MIBR, NAVI, and NIP. They invite other teams here and there. They invited ENCE last time they have no reason to reinvite them to NA event, they only care about money, hence NRG, and trying to jump on Renegades hype before it fully dies

SURE but this just proves my point: This Event is a shit show w/ na teamlist and bad Format If it would be any good they would have done the same same as esl in cologne (reinviting both finalists)

Well I'm sorry to judge team liquid here but I don't think they are able to hold Their spot! (They didn't rly participate in any t1 international lan in the past 3 months*edit: Ya they won Sydney and dhm .. still 2 wins in past 3 months and only one win against Astralis... that can't be a deserved ranking) Navi should also be out of top3 at least until major 2020 Don't get me started on faze ;) And well Astralis ... I guess they're going to get better again --> so ya Ence top3 could be possible and top5 is probably save

There's just something wrong with the scene right now. Well its more so as a fans point of view. Right now liquid is #1 no question. They are the best and most consistent team out there (no matter how many finals they choke lmao). People over look this though because its not a strong number 1. Compared to previous teams that have held that number 1 spot they seem weak. So yes they are the rightful #1 team right now but they are not a great #1 team. If that makes sense

they are part of the league so they play 5 out of 7 blast events like all other teams part of season to besides decide results of events also to decide 4 teams to gain most points and hence to make it finals that are played end of the year (astralis, liquid, nip, faze, mibr, navi, c9 are the 7 teams in this season, other teams are merely guests in events rather than part of league)
