ESEA MDL Season 31 finalized, Global Challenge teams determined

The 31st season of ESEA MDL has come to a close in Europe and North America, determining all participants of the Global Challenge and ESL Pro League relegation.

After the regular season came to an end last week in Europe, it was time for the playoffs. In a surprising turn of events, CR4ZY, who had gone undefeated in the regular season, went down in the quarter-finals to Spirit, with Vitality, Movistar Riders, and Sprout also reaching the semi-final stage.

Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt's team confirmed their status of favorites by defeating Viktor "somedieyoung" Orudjev & co., earning a chance to fight for direct advancement to ESL Pro League Season 10 against Sprout, who took down Movistar Riders en route to the European Finals.

Vitality and Sprout will play for a spot in ESL Pro League

After a hard-fought battle between the two on Sunday, Spirit defeated Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas's side 2-1, copping the third and last spot at the seasonal Global Challenge and a place in the ESL Pro League Season 9 relegation tournament.

I don't think this is a valid excuse since vitality's normal timezone is only one hour off of finland's timezone. They should have been just as tired as ENCE yet they won the tournament.

Not hating MR, i really hope they succed. I just feel depressed after the last two weeks where they lost really close matches but in the end achived nothing. Whenever they overcome the chocking problem, they will be a top 20 team ez, but until then, they wont be able to break into top 30

i understand what you mean, but we're not riders fans without suffering. Anyways, with the LVP finals achieved and won, i think that if they stop playing tier 4-5 spain Cs and only play international they could make the roster top 30 and maybe even qualify for esl next season of MDL (when is it tho?)
