Giants remove ZELIN

Luís "⁠ZELIN⁠" Lousada is on his way out of Giants, Christopher "⁠MUTiRiS⁠" Fernandes has revealed.

The news was broken by MUTiRiS on his stream on Tuesday after being asked about the current situation of the team, who have come under intense scrutiny of late.

After making it to BLAST Pro Series Madrid, where they beat Ninjas in Pyjamas and played out close encounters with ENCE and Cloud9, Giants hit a rough patch of form and were shockingly eliminated from Master League Portugal Season III in the semi-finals by GTZ.

ZELIN's future unclear after being removed by Giants

ZELIN had been in Giants' ranks since February, when he was brought in on a free transfer, initially on trial. He made his last appearance for the team at the Superliga Orange Finals, where the Portuguese side lost to the eventual champions, Movistar Riders, in the last-four stage.

MUTiRiS added that the team is currently weighing different options and admitted the possibility of bringing in a Spanish player to fill the gap left by ZELIN's removal.

It was related with lack of commitment and motivation so it makes sense and btw the best players from Giants are rmn (together with lowel the best rifler in Portugal and Spain) and mutiris with fox being the third's best player. Fox is not the best cause he seems to be a little unmotivated lately but during the Blast time he was really good and consistent.

It's not certain if they will remove another player. Mut said that it would be necessary to change at least 2 players to change the mindset of the team so it's uncertain if they will remove Killdream and Zelin. The possibilities to the team right now are Cunha (k1ck's best player) or the comeback of rizz (which seems unlikely as mut said he needed a new team to regain confidence). Any player of OFFSET might be difficult to take so they are considering spanish players such as ALEX, one of the finest IGL in Iberia or arki ex-giants player. The reasons for Zelin's and probably Killdream's kick are related with lack of commitment with the goals of the team. Mut also said that only him, rmn and Aim were really commited to consistently work to be a better team as even fox showed (he didn't sad exactly this but he meant this) a lack of motivation after Blast Pro Series together with Zelin and probably Killdream.

I doubt Alex would leave MR for Giants. MR have MDL secured while Giants rely on their own power to thrive through the rankings via qualifiers and small online leagues invites. Altough, I do belive it would be better to remove killdream aswell so that the mindset of the team can take a new direction. Underrated spanish players are a good option IMO, Naow for example. Or even portuguese ones that star in smaller teams.

Furthermore, cunha is a very talented young player, top5 aimer in PT scene imo, and deserves an oportunity! With motivation and dedication cunha can be TOP5 PT player easly. ALEX is a monster IGL and TOP3 SP player. If ALEX refuses the proposal, Arki is a good choise, TOP5 SP player imo. Besides that he played in giants with roman, mut and aim (coach) a few months ago so...

Alex is amazing, imo he actually deserves a chance in a international line up

They are thinking about Cunha (k1ck player), or a spanish player might be Alex but it seems hard cause he is in Movistar Riders or arki (no team after Team Queso scandal). Any other player from OFFSET might be difficult because the project is in a good shape so I believe they won't accept any offers from Giants.

Spanish options: +soker ; +alex Portuguese Options +Just ; +Cunha. Brazillian Options: +horvy. IMO, others that none of this ones, are questionable choices. For me the best option, is the Spanish ones, making a Super Iberian Team. We don't need the PT best one or Spanish best one, we are stronger with Iberian at the moment. Fox ; Mut ; RMN; Soker ; Killdream/Alex (Alex only if change IGL role for him). Horvy option would be interesting too, but for killdream, not for Zelin, for Zelin, 100% best option Soker.

I would like to see: Iberian lineup: rmn, Mut, fox, Alex (IGL), arki (SOKER seems unlikely as only fox played in the past with him) or PT lineup: rmn, Mut, fox, Just, Cunha/Stadodo(IGL). The PT lineup seems unlikely as OFFSET players wont prabably accept offers so I would go probably for an Iberian lineup which will be also difficult to put together with Riders playing under contract. The easiest option would be add Cunha and arki because they are easier to get right now.

A part of me wants Giants to become a big team and hope they qualify for a major one day, but another part knows that TUGAS will start to >mibr >2019. I wish we had fox for more time back in 2k17 with SK, we'd probably achieve a lot more. All in all, my best wishes for Fox and Mut.
