BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles viewer's guide

With BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles kicking off soon, we present a viewer's guide containing all the information you need to know about the $250,000 event.

BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles will take place at the HD Buttercup Building over the weekend and feature six contestants duking it out for the lion's share of a $250,000 prize pool.

Contrary to previous BLAST events, Los Angeles will see an adjusted playoff format. The group stage will once more witness a best-of-one, round-robin format, but a total of four teams will advance to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs on this occasion, instead of two.

The new Cloud9 squad is one of the biggest talking points ahead of BLAST Pro LA

The entirety of the event will be played out on-stage, with the round-robin stage being played out on Saturday, July 13. The playoffs and the BLAST Pro Stand-off will follow on Sunday, July 14, the latter taking place between the semi-finals and the title decider.

Because it's a BLAST event, they tend to run 3 BO1's at the same time to cram it into the 2 day span

Well, apparently not. I knew it would probably happen cause zews is playing an lot of pugs and FPL recently, and if he's not playing the major, to train his players skills would probably mean he would play with them soon.

2019-07-12 14:33

Two bo3s could take up to 7 hours if it goes all 3 maps and almost all 30 rounds on each (not to mention OT). The schedule doesn't look that unreasonable...would rather have this then the grand finals alone the next day which is what many tournaments are doing now
