BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles maps revealed

The BLAST Pro Series tournament organizers have announced the map picks for the round-robin stage of BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles.

The map picks for the upcoming BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles were confirmed by the competing teams between June 22nd and June 26th, with Mirage and Inferno being the most picked, four times each, and Dust2, Vertigo, Overpass and Train being the least picked, as they were the last map standing only once during the vetoes.

Liquid will play five different maps in the round-robin stage

Liquid will be looking to further their hegemony as the top team in the game on home turf, in Los Angeles, where the organization is headquartered. Going up against them will be the brand new Cloud9, a struggling MIBR that has Marcelo "coldzera" David supposedly on the way out, Renegades, FaZe, and NRG.

If you want to see the breakdown of the maps, Blast Pro Series put out a series of videos for all of the maps in the tournament's pool.

Below are the round-robin matches and the maps they will be played on:

Round 1

Brazil MIBR vs. Australia Renegades | Mirage
Europe FaZe vs. United States NRG | Nuke
United States Liquid vs. North America Cloud9 | Inferno

Round 2

Europe FaZe vs. Australia Renegades | Train
United States Liquid vs. United States NRG | Overpass
Brazil MIBR vs. North America Cloud9 | Mirage

Round 3

Australia Renegades vs. United States NRG | Dust2
Europe FaZe vs. North America Cloud9 | Mirage
Brazil MIBR vs. United States Liquid | Mirage

Round 4

North America Cloud9 vs. Australia Renegades | Inferno
Europe FaZe vs. United States Liquid | Nuke
Brazil MIBR vs. United States NRG | Inferno

Round 5

Brazil MIBR vs. Europe FaZe | Inferno
United States Liquid vs. Australia Renegades | Vertigo
North America Cloud9 vs. United States NRG | Nuke

After the round-robin stage, BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles will have two best-of-three semi-finals on Sunday—a first in the BLAST Pro Series circuit—, which will be followed by the BLAST Stand-off, the 1vs1 series to decide the third-placed team, and the grand final, after which the winner will be crowned and awarded a $125,000 grand prize and 10 BPS points to help with qualifying for the BLAST Pro Series Global Finals.

Liquid been winning tournaments back to back and/or placing top 3 in previous tournaments. I don't think you actually know what a fluke means cause Envyus major win in 2015 was the biggest fluke ever (wins 1 major and team literally lost every tournament after which eventually broke up the team within 2-3 months)

I actually had to look up hegemony. LucasAM are you using Grammarly? xD
2019-07-11 19:08
Haha. I do have Grammarly installed, although just the basic version, which is not horribly helpful. Hegemonía is pretty typical in Spanish, so I just translated it to English ;).
2019-07-11 20:08
Hahah that's amazing. This was my laugh for the day ^_^
2019-07-11 20:11
what kind of shit system is that? mibr plays only 2 maps ( 3x mirage 2x inferno) while other teams play 5 different maps?

Italy Fil0Nerd
it's a normal veto between two teams... btw other teams don't play 5 differents maps get informed before saying wrong things

Renegades for example has 5 different maps

yeah but you talked shit about system when teams decided those maps with a normal veto like always
2019-07-11 22:07
i missunderstood that because ive read some other comments. i thought the event itself give the maps to the matches so i flamed that some teams got "lucky" with the same maps while others have to play 4 or 5 different maps ... if its normal veto its fine lul
