MIBR and FaZe win BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles openers

MIBR beat Renegades on Mirage, 16-14, while FaZe defeated NRG on Nuke, 16-9, in their BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles opening matches.

MIBR started their tournament run in Los Angeles with a pistol round win on the attacking side of Mirage, but a triple by Justin "jks" Savage in the forcebuy got Renegades right into it, after which The Boys were able to take an early 3-1 lead. The early stages of the match evened out, 3-3, before Renegades cleanly stopped a B play to stay in the lead. The two teams traded rounds and kept it close all the way through the half as MIBR were only able to take a one round lead, 8-7, when going into the second half.

MIBR were able to best Renegades in their first match without coldzera

Renegades tied it up on their first round on the attack as jks got two opening frags. Up 10-8, a successful play on the B site after two entries saw MIBR call a save. Renegades kept entering sites unrelentlessly as the Brazilians couldn’t find a set-up to stop them. MIBR won a 3vs3 retake on B to get on the board in the second half, but were instantly traded next round as Renegades hit a 13-9 lead. The tables turned, however, as the Brazilians found their groove and started to come back, winning four rounds in a row to tie it up, 13-13. The Brazilians took the lead, hitting match point first, 15-14, before securing their first win.

The B-stream match pitting FaZe and NRG on Nuke started off with the European side taking the lead after winning the first pistol round on the Terrorist side, but on the third round NRG were able to stop a push into the inner bomb site on an eco to get on the board. With 3-3 on the board, Ethan "Ethan" Arnold was able to win a 1vs1 afterplant against Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács to get his team in the lead. FaZe managed to stay ahead, however, and after winning the follow-up were able to take a two round lead, 6-4, against an eco. The Europeans then went on to have a very successful half, getting 10 rounds on the attacking side as NRG struggled in the economic aspect.

FaZe beat NRG to go 1-0 in Los Angeles

The second pistol round was won by the attacking side, NRG, who were able to successfully make a play on the A bomb site, but the two teams won back-and-forth rounds in a hectic beginning to the second half, as FaZe kept a 12-7 lead after four rounds. With the economic advantage, it was the Europeans who were able to take hold of the half on the CT side, closing it out 16-9.

Good gameplay from faze, probably because olof decided to behave like a real pro and wear the same faze jersey like the rest of the team.

It's good, they were reference back in 2016/17 and now they being joke is sad for me as brazilian
2019-07-13 22:16
It is only hatters. They aren’t a joke. FaZe is trying to back to top tier scenario and is not doing well. Changing rosters etc. It is normal that in a competitive scenario like CSGO, a team cannot keep the pace for a while.
