EliGE wins IEM Chicago MVP award
EliGE ended the tournament with a 1.41 rating, his highest ever at a Big Event, beating his previous record of 1.30 from ELEAGUE Major Atlanta.
Keith "NAF" Markovic and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken were the players closest to EliGE in the race for the MVP award, which also featured the ENCE duo of Aleksi "allu" Jalli and Jere "sergej" Salo before the one-sided final.
EliGE was ranked first in six stats categories, most notably rating, KDD (+71), ADR (93.9), kills per round (0.88) and percentage of rounds with at least one kill (56.4%). He also featured in the top five in seven other categories, including KAST (75.9%) and headshots per round (0.47).
This is the third MVP award scooped by EliGE in his career after DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 and the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, putting him level with Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut for the most medals claimed since the start of the year.
