Radifaction signs with Apeks
Nordavind player Haakon "Radifaction" Tholo has completed a transfer to Apeks, the two organisations have confirmed.
The 20-year-old returns to activity after spending almost two months on Nordavind's bench following the return of Haris "H4RR3" Hadzic to the team.
Radifaction will be taking Pål "Polly" Kammen's in the starting line-up, with the Norwegian veteran, formerly of LGB eSports, transitioning to a full-time coaching position within the organisation.
This is the second roster change of the summer by Apeks, who brought in Erik "truth" Hansen Dyrnes last month, moving Ole "Marcelious" Kristian Langan to the bench. The Norwegian team then cut a frustrating figure in the ESEA Season 31 Main playoffs, losing to NLG in the quarter-finals but still claiming a spot in the Advanced division, which will kick off on August 27.
"It is never easy to make changes, but sometimes they are necessary," Apeks manager Kenneth "Kenkenski" Johansen said in a statement.
"Our results have not been good enough, and we believe that a coach can help to solve a lot of these issues. When we started thinking about who could coach the team, it was natural to look internally first, and that was when we offered Pål the position.
"Radifaction is a young player with a lot of talent and international experience, which is rare to find in Norway nowadays.
"He fits very well into our team."
Apeks' line-up now looks as follows:
Anders "aNdz" Kjær
Kristian "akez" Kornbakk
Sander "Grusarn" Iversen
Erik "truth" Hansen Dyrnes
Haakon "Radifaction" Tholo
Pål "Polly" Kammen (coach)
Ole "Marcelious" Kristian Langan (benched)
