OpTic conclude ESL One New York participants' list

OpTic bested forZe on Mirage (16-13) and Overpass (16-3) in the grand final of the GG.BET New York Invitational, securing the final slot for ESL One New York 2019.

Eight teams participated in the GG.BET New York Invitational qualifier for ESL New York 2019, with OpTic swooping the sole remaining slot for the $200,000 event. On their way to qualification, the team bested the likes of Bpro, Winstrike and BIG, concluding their run with a best-of-three grand final against forZe.

k0nfig and company have booked the final slot at ESL New York

In the aforementioned grand final, forZe kicked off with overcoming the Danish squad on their own map pick, Nuke. The two sides produced convincing 10-5 CT-side performances, forcing overtime, where forZe closed out with a clean 19-16. OpTic went on to return the favour, outgrinding their adversaries on Mirage, where forZe stood the chance to close out in two maps, but faltered in crucial moments to concede the map 13-16 to the Danes.

Lastly, Overpass was played out, where Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and company put up a stunning 12-3 defensive half, later securing four consecutive rounds on the offense to close out affairs.

Nope, they have no org so they can add and remove people like its nothing.
2019-08-08 02:20
They're still contracted to OpTic, just the Immortals eSports Club owns their parent company, thus owning their contracts. They'll be released or bought out soon most likely, as the roster can't compete at Majors and certain events due to IMT also owning the MiBR brand and roster. If the MiBR roster gets released instead then OpTic will be okay. They just kind of play with whoever as unannounced players since they're uncontracted with the issue of the current core 3 (k0nfig, MSL, niko).

Thryplbeother be sold or wait out contracts They can't compete at Majors or even some T1 events with MiBR also attending so they won't stay under OpTic

Cajunb has proven here that he deserves to be on basically any Danish team there is aside from Astralis. He’s a very stable veteran and a great player, so underrated.

I don't follow them that closely. If you think they are good enough for that, doesn't mean tournament organisers think that. CIS region team excluding navi doesn't really play at t1 events. Many of them are majority invited events. They don't get invited, they play qualifiers, maybe they are not that good enough to qualify. You can say they throw but why would they then try and qualify for major. It's the biggest cs event so naturaly they should dodge it, shouldn't they?

They are looking for an new org because immortals merged with OpTic. Immortals have got cs go roster (mibr ofc) and they couldnt have a two rosters. So OpTic must find a new org. It's sad :(
