V4 Future Sports Festival returns with $335,000 prize pool
The organisers of the V4 Future Sports Festival have announced the first details about the second iteration of the event, featuring €300,000 (~$335,000) in prize money.
The gaming festival will take place on September 21-22 at an as-yet-undisclosed location in Budapest, with CS:GO taking up the vast majority of the prize pool of the event, where Fortnite and various simulator games will also be played.
Just like last year, the tournament will feature eight teams, four invited and four qualified. However, this time around the event's organisers will be opening the qualifying system to all European teams with a continental tournament with one spot for the Budapest competition on offer.
The remaining three qualifying places have been allocated to the V4 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland), which will host qualifiers featuring two open brackets and a closed eight-team tournament.
Teams can sign up for the qualifiers, kicking off this weekend for the V4 countries and only on September 7 for the rest of Europe, by clicking the links below:
The prize distribution for the event is the following:
1. €150,000 ($167,000)
2. €70,000 ($73,800)
3-4. €20,000 ($22,370)
5-8. €10,000 ($11,185)
