RED Canids sign fnx
The two-time Major champion becomes the second high-profile player to join RED Canids in the off-season, following in the footsteps of Renato "nak" Nakano, who was signed from Sharks earlier in the month.
Both players were teammates in a number of teams back in CS 1.6 and were part of the iconic mibr squad that won ESWC 2006.
fnx has been out of action since August 2018, when he and Bruno "BIT" Fukuda Lima were removed from the Não Tem Como squad, who would go on to sign for INTZ. In March 2019, he was announced as a brand ambassador for MIBR, who feature three of the players alongside whom he won the MLG Columbus and the ESL One Cologne 2016 Majors.
"RED Canids is one of the biggest and best organisations in Brazil, and I am sure that, playing alongside nak, who is like a brother to me, will really help me in this new beginning," he said in a statement.
"I decided to return because this is what I love and what I do best. I am a person driven by challenges and conquests, and the motivation and talent of the young players here will certainly help us to win domestically and to try to compete internationally."
RED Canids will make their first appearance in the first season of the Brasileirão. Isurus, DETONA, paiN, Keyd and W7M are the other teams confirmed for this tournament, which will run from September 9 to November 20,
