North defeat Syman; NRG push TYLOO to brink of elimination
North edged out Syman on Train, 16-14, to go 2-0, while NRG bounced back from their opening loss by defeating TYLOO with a 16-7 scoreline.
The match between Syman and North kicked off with an outside play by the CIS side, but it was the Danes who were eventually able to take it as Nicklas "gade" Gade took out four attackers. North then won the bonus round with SMGs against a fully bought Terrorist side. Syman quickly found themselves on a full loss bonus and not a single round on the board. It was then that they were able to best North with doubles from Nicolas "Keoz" Dgus and Ramazan "Ramz1kBO$$" Bashizov, but the Danes were able to win the follow-up with double AWPs. North then kept a chokehold for most of the half, giving up but one round until the end, when Syman were able to snatch the last two to make it 4-11.

The second pistol round crawled to a start, as no contact was made until a minute in. After a failed attempt at hitting the outside site, North planted on B in a 2vs3 but were unable to close out the round. With Syman coming back after two more wins, a huge round by Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye with four kills broke the CIS team’s momentum, although they would be quick to retake it as they hit double digits, 11-12. North stopped Syman from tying as Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså won a 1vs2 afterplant situation, before the Danes went on to make it to 14 rounds. A forcebuy with three MP9s by Syman turned things around as they went on to tie it 14-14. An impressive four-kill round by valde put his team on match point, which they were able to capitalize on the following round to close it out 16-14.

TYLOO were the first out of the gate on Train as they won the pistol round on the defending side. YuanZhang "Attacker" Sheng was then able to win a 1vs2 clutch to save the second round. NRG were finally able to tally a round after the first buy, following it up to push TYLOO into a forcebuy. NRG quickly took the lead as the Asian team tried to win the odd round when possible, but it was the American team that was in control, closing the half out 10-5.

TYLOO won the second pistol round, but were then denied the follow up as a legion of scouts in the hands of NRG managed to retake the B site. From there on out it was NRG who once again took the reins, looking completely in control of the map as they went on to close it out without much fuss, 16-7, to secure a 1-1 record.
