CR4ZY destabilize FURIA to go undefeated; forZe leave Grayhound facing elimination
The first day of play in Berlin comes to a close with CR4ZY remaining undefeated following a 16-11 victory over FURIA, and Grayhound dropping down to the 0-2 elimination pool after suffering a 16-9 defeat to forZe.
Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas got things underway for CR4ZY on Train, finding a triple kill in the pistol round to give his team control. A forcebuy from FURIA bore no fruit for the Brazilian side, allowing CR4ZY up to a 2-0 lead, but stereo frags from Yuri "yuurih" Santos and Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo on a full save allowed for FURIA to get an early round on the board for themselves.
An immediate reply from CR4ZY saw the Serbian side regain control, although their margins remained slim as FURIA continued to contest. Three Deagle kills by VINI proved crucial in swinging momentum in FURIA's favour, allowing Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato and company to to battle back for a six round spree. CR4ZY's sixth round came off the back of a heroic quad kill by Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, but FURIA remained ahead at the half with a 9-6 lead.
A similar scenario unfolded as CR4ZY won the second pistol round of the map, although this time they were able to convert against both the ensuing forcebuy and eco round to tie up the match at 9-9. Once they were on rifles, the Brazilians took their first round on the offense, but found their economy crushed in the ensuing round as CR4ZY answered back.
From there, CR4ZY remained in firm control, giving up only a single round to an AWP quad kill from Andrei "arT" Piovezan before closing out the map 16-11.

A three round lead for forZe helped to kick things off on their own Train matchup, with a triple kill on the AWP by Simon "Sico" Williams granting Grayhound their first two rounds on the defense.
Multikill rounds from Dmitriy "facecrack" Alekseyev kept forZe in control as the CIS side continued to pull ahead, giving up just two of the ensuing eight rounds as Bogdan "xsepower" Chernikov stepped up to frag alongside his teammates. Grayhound barely kept things competitive as two final rounds at the end of the half left them trailing 6-9 as the sides swapped over.
Grayhound seemed set to even the score as a pistol victory put them in control, but a forcebuy from forZe saw facecrack pick up three MP9 kills to give his team the momentum once again. Six rounds straight saw forZe quickly move up to match point, with Grayhound able to forstall their defeat for just two rounds before the CIS side claimed a 16-9 victory.
