huNter-: "Today I will sleep well"
CR4ZY recovered from a tough loss to North on day three, in which they had several match points after leading 15-10 on Inferno before losing the map in quadruple overtime and subsequently the series following another overtime battle on the deciding Train.
On the third day of the Major, the Serbian side beat DreamEaters in a close series despite losing the opening map, Inferno, to make it to the New Legends stage with a 3-1 record and become the first Serbian-majority team to reach the top-16 stage of a Major.
We have to go back to yesterday at first and touch on what happened in the North series, losing the match from 15-10 on Inferno. Can you tell me what happened after that point?
I really don't know. Today when we played, everyone just tried to forget this and just focus on DreamEaters, but when we lost Inferno again today, we just lost on our mistakes, and when we lost Inferno I was just thinking about "if we just won one round yesterday we would have been at the Major, now we have to win two more maps against DreamEaters." They played really well, I didn't expect that from them, but I think if they played like they did today they can go to the Major Legends also.
Do you feel like it was a psychological problem, not being able to close out that Inferno and then having another few match points later in the series, including just before overtime on Train?
We didn't use good tactical timeouts, at 15-14 we also had a map point on Train when they didn't have anything, they just had a smoke and two flashes and just ran out T mid and they killed us, we were four on A. After this it was hard to come back to win overtime, it was really hard, we just tried, tried to forget, it was a really hard night behind us. But today I will sleep well and everyone will sleep well after this win.
Were you surprised at the level DreamEaters brought today, beating you on Inferno like you said and then making it difficult on Dust2 and Mirage, maps that you should be very comfortable on?
Yeah, they have some different gameplay, they won against Vitality, as well, a top-five team in the world and yesterday they beat them on Inferno. They are a really good team, they have really good players, they have really good aim, I told you, if they play like today I think tomorrow they can also go to the Legends stage.
Give me your thoughts on making it to the next stage, being the first Serbian team to do so and in a way even being the first Serbians to get there overall, if you don't count LEGIJA.
I'm really happy and I'm really proud of my boys, it was a really hard route. We had three bootcamps in the last three months, we prepared for it, we had almost 15 days at a bootcamp before we came here, we have been together for one month already. It was really hard, but I'm really proud of my boys, I'm really happy, after everything, yesterday against North, but I'm really proud because of that much more than if we had won against North. We just focused on our game today against DreamEaters. Thanks everyone for support, from Serbia, from the whole Balkan, and everyone who supports us.
From your reaction it was obvious that this was a huge step for you at the Major, but the journey doesn't end here, how will CR4ZY match up against the competition in the next stage?
We showed three or four months ago, we won against G2 on LAN, we beat mousesports on LAN, we can do it, we just showed really good play. Now we showed to everyone, to big teams who are at the Major, that we are a good team. Everyone will watch us, everyone will antistrat us, it will be hard. We must change something on a few maps maybe, we will try to change something. But everyone knows about us now, everyone knows how we play, who we are, our individual players, our individual plays, but if we just focus on our individual plays and everything, we can do a good job at the Major.
