Sprout bring back denis
The 25-year-old returns to Sprout less than four months after leaving the team to join BIG as a replacement for Johannes "nex" Maget, who had been forced to take some time off due to a persistent wrist problem.
While with BIG, where he took up the AWP to give Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz the space to main rifles again, denis attended just four LAN tournaments, making his final appearance at the Europe Minor. The team's run of poor form resulted in an overhaul of the squad after the event, with Owen "smooya" Butterfield and nex being brought back into the line-up and Tobias "tow b" Herberhold taking over as coach.
denis will replace Sabit "mirbit" Coktasar, who left the team on Saturday. In a statement, he admitted that he is relishing the opportunity to prove himself once again after enduring a frustrating period with BIG.
"I am happy that the organisation and the team believe in me and have given me another chance to represent them," denis said.
"During my short time at BIG and even way before, I learned a lot. I have found myself reflecting on many things: I want to change my personality, my mental preparation, my work ethic and how I want to proceed in general. I want to prove my own game and the team's game.
"We have already discussed what the team wants to change in their system and the way we want to play in general. I am really confident that we will work hard to prove ourselves.
"Usually, I do not write things like this, but I can tell you that I am extremely motivated again, especially after what happened in these last three months."
The new Sprout line-up will make its first appearance in the ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup, kicking off September 10. Later this month, the team will attend the Games Clash Masters, in Gdynia, Poland, where $100,000 will be on offer.
With denis' addition, the German team now have:
Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn (coach)
