HellRaisers to bench whole roster
HellRaisers have decided to bench their entire roster with immediate effect, HLTV.org has learned.
The decision follows a disappointing performance at the StarLadder Major, where the team were sent packing in the New Challengers Stage with a 1-3 record following defeats to FURIA, AVANGAR and Vitality, and a solitary victory over Complexity.
HellRaisers' current roster was finalized in April following the additions of Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran and Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas, who joined from Movistar Riders and NoChance, respectively, after Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný had been signed from mousesports in March.
Prior to their Berlin Major campaign, the team had endured other sub-par LAN campaigns - most shockingly a group stage exit at Good Game League 2019 -, although they did manage to catch the eye at the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, where they pushed eventual champions Liquid to their limit in a group lower bracket series that went the full distance.
HLTV.org knows that HellRaisers' management have not yet decided the future of the team, with an announcement expected to be made shortly. Even though all players have been moved to the bench, it is possible that at least some of them will stay on and help to build a new team.
HLTV.org has reached out to HellRaisers for comment. The team currently look as follows:
