Astralis make Major history with Berlin triumph
Astralis became the most successful team in the history of Counter-Strike Majors on Sunday by winning their fourth title in Berlin against AVANGAR.
The Danish giants beat AVANGAR in a quick two-map series at a packed Mercedes-Benz Arena to add a fourth Major crown to their glittering collection - after previously winning ELEAGUE Major Atlanta (with Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye still on the roster), the FACEIT Major and IEM Katowice 2019 - and surpass fnatic’s record.
Astralis also became the first team to win three consecutive Major titles, dethroning fnatic's 2015 squad and the 2016 Brazilian roster of Luminosity/SK.

Sunday's success sees Nicolai "device" Reedtz, Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth become the most successful players in Majors with four trophies, while Emil "Magisk" Reif joins Robin "flusha" Rönnquist, Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Markus "pronax" Wallsten on the list of players to have claimed three such titles.
device also became only the second player in the history of the competition to have scooped more than one MVP medal, joining Marcelo "coldzera" David in this elite club.
