StarLadder Major Berlin Fantasy recap

With the Major finishing, we take a look at how the Fantasy game played out and announce the winners of Runtime.gg prizes.

A spectacular victory by Astralis, who have gone through the playoffs in Berlin without dropping a single map, saw the Danish side claim their third back-to-back Major, with Nicolai "device" Reedtz's efforts being rewarded by an MVP medal.

ENCE's strong performance in the groups made their players key for Fantasy success

However, it was another Nordic team that starred in the Fantasy game - ENCE. The Finns dominated the group stage, accruing massive point advantages which helped users that selected Jere "sergej" Salo, Aleksi "allu" Jalli, or Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen to finish high in the rankings.

With ENCE dominating Fantasy, it isn't weird to see five Finnish users among the top 10 finishers in the HLTV x Runtime.gg league. The winner, Ch1lled_Pyro, paired up four Finnish players with Natus Vincere's newest signing, Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov, finishing with a total of 1014 points.

The HLTV x Runtime.gg League final standings:

1. United States Ch1lled_Pyro (1014)
2. Finland JirioTree (994)
3. Norway D_Shepherd (988)
4. Poland Jaboll (945)
5. South Africa Jamalen (932)
6. Finland SunMutsi (932)
7. Finland manu9812 (929)
8. United States Unique_North_Flair_Guy (925)
9. Finland darkyf1 (920)
10. Finland kajje (896)

All of the users that finished in the top 10 of the public league have earned rewards, powered by Runtime.gg, which are as follows:

1. Starterpack M + Signed Runtime Shaker + x2 Performance Drink Berry or Orange + Next Level Meal Tub + Megabite + GeT_RiGhT's Favourite Weapon skin
2. Starterpack M + Signed Runtime Shaker + Next Level Meal Tub + x2 Performance Drink Berry or Orange
3. Starterpack M + Signed Runtime Shaker + Megabite
4-5. Starterpack M + Megabite
6-10. Starterpack S

The ideal lineup for the tournament was different from the one our users selected. It still relied on ENCE's duo, sergej and allu, but also incorporated the tournament MVP device, and two budget picks: Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko. This lineup would score 1077 with bonuses, pre-boosters:

Denmark device (Main AWP) 267 + 80 = 347 pts
Finland sergej (Attacker) 292 + 40 = 332 pts
Finland allu (Defender) 234 + 47 = 281 pts
United States stanislaw (Leader) 42 + 57 = 99 pts
Ukraine Zeus (Entry Fragger) -1 + 19 = 18

Without taking into account roles or prices, these were the 10 best Fantasy performers of the StarLadder Major Berlin:

1. Finland Jere "sergej" Salo: 292 points
2. Denmark Nicolai "device" Reedtz: 267 points
3. Finland Aleksi "allu" Jalli: 234 points
4. Denmark Emil "Magisk" Reif: 198 points
5. Russia Denis "electronic" Sharipov: 194 points
6. France Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut: 180 points
7. United States Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski: 168 points
8. Finland Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen: 144 points
9. United States Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte: 139 points
10. Ukraine Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev: 135 points

In the HLTV Confirmed draft league, we had seven participants vying for the win, with the draft taking place during the show which was broadcasted from Berlin.

Guests Jacob "Pimp" Winneche, Allan "Rejin" Petersen and Sean "seang@res" Gares joined the regular members and the race was tight until the playoffs. Then, Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill's picks device, Brehze and Justin "jks" Savage shifted into a higher gear and delivered the Australian expert a dominant Fantasy Major victory.

1. Australia SPUNJ (914)
2. United States sgares (666)
3. Denmark Producer Lukas (663)
4. Czech Republic Striker (578)
5. Croatia Professeur (405)
6. Denmark Pimp (360)
7. Denmark Rejin (27)

because they still got the 500 achievement and 300 Lan points probably lost some form points, thats why only 19 points. they are still the best team, they will lose points, when the other tournemants decay over time

so will there be one for blast? gonna be weird if so because of the avangar vs forze last second qualifying match
2019-09-10 23:56
There should be. Nothing weird with the play-in, it already happened in Blast Madrid with Giants vs Riders, and all teams were included in Fantasy, so I guess the same will be here.
