ATK welcome back Sonic
ATK have announced that Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek has returned to the organization.
The move confirms reports from earlier this month of ATK's plans to reacquire the South African player as part of a major overhaul of the squad, which also included the addition of Ricky "floppy" Kemery and Josh "oSee" Ohm from Singularity.
Sonic had previously been playing for Envy for three months, during which the North American side qualified for IEM Chicago and retained their spot in ESL Pro League, but otherwise lacked good results, failing to make it deep in qualifiers for the Americas Minor, ESL One New York, and MSI Gaming Arena.
ATK made the announcement ahead of their Thursday's matches against Swole Patrol in the DreamHack Masters Malmö NA closed qualifier lower bracket round two and TeamOne in ECS Season 8 North America Pinnacle Cup. Otherwise, the team is also participating in ESEA MDL Season 32.
The South African organization's overhauled lineup looks as follows:
Johnny "JT" Theodosiou
Ian "motm" Hardy
Ricky "floppy" Kemery
Josh "oSee" Ohm
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (coach)
