Luminosity weigh up team future *
The news follows the team's shocking elimination in the Round of 16 of the North American open qualifier for DreamHack Masters Malmö at the hands of Stay Frosty, which was reportedly seen as the final straw by the North American organisation.
From Luminosity's starting line-up, only Ricardo "boltz" Prass, Lucas "steel" Lopes and Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato are tied down to permanent contracts. João "felps" Vasconcellos has been on loan from MIBR since June, while Felipe "skullz" Medeiros joined the team only two days ago, on a temporary deal from W7M.
It is currently unclear whether Luminosity will release their players or work on transfers to other organisations. Last month, Luminosity benched Henrique "HEN1" Teles, who became a "restricted free agent".
NEKIZ is the longest standing member in Luminosity after being recruited in 2017, almost a year after the organisation had signed the entire WinOut.net squad. The team have undergone multiple roster changes in the last few years with hopes of solidifying their place in the upper echelons of the scene, but without success. This year, the Brazilians have placed 7th-8th at iBUYPOWER Masters 2019, 13th-16th at the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals and 5th-6th at the Americas Minor leading to the StarLadder Major.
Contacted by HLTV.org, Luminosity declined to comment on the matter. The squad currently have:
Henrique "HEN1" Teles (benched)
Rafael "zakk" Fernandes (coach)
