mirbit joins Windigo on trial
The 22-year-old German player had previously been playing in Sprout, where he ended an eight-month tenure with the team at the end of August in hopes of a new challenge. Most recently mirbit helped the German side qualify for the upcoming ESL Pro League after surviving the relegation process.
Windigo have been in search of a complete roster since parting ways with three members of the former Bulgarian lineup: Yanko "blocker" Panov, Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov, and later, Georgi "SHiPZ" Grigorov. Since then, Windigo have been trialing players such as Buğra "Calyx" Arkın and Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss in the starting lineup, with the fifth slot having been unfilled.
mirbit steps into the lineup on a trial basis in place of Thomas "Thomas" Utting, who has recently been standing in for the team in the ECS Season 8 Europe Pinnacle Cup. The German rifler will kick off his stint in Windigo in the European Champions Cup, on September 22.
