AGO unveil new line-up
AGO have announced that they have finally completed their roster with the addition of four new players.
Miłosz "mhL" Knasiak, Eryk "leman" Kocęba, Patryk "Sidney" Korab and Maciej "F1KU" Miklas have all inked permanent contracts with AGO following a lengthy tryout process that lasted three months and featured 11 players, including veteran Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski, who did not make the cut.
The quartet will join Dominik "GruBy" Swiderski and Damian "Furlan" Kislowski, the only players who remained from the previous AGO roster, creating a six-man roster with which the Polish organisation hope to return to the upper echelons of the game.
AGO explained the team will be constantly rotating players in practice and that head coach Mikołaj "miNirox" Michałków will pick the best line-up before each event. This will prevent situations that could hamper the team's progress, including "illness or injury, loss of motivation, internal conflicts or lack of improvement."
"I am satisfied that we have chosen a team with a broader composition, which we believed in and communicated as our vision from the very beginning of our adventure," AGO president Jakub Szumielewicz said in a statement.
"We did our best to select the players who would wear the x-kom AGO jersey in the best possible way. We have a team determined to work and, above all, to develop in accordance with our philosophy - this is the dream start of a new chapter in the history of our organization."
AGO have not yet announced their line-up for this weekend's Games Clash Masters, where $100,000 on the line. However, F1KU has not taken part in the team's latest official matches, which could be taken as an indicator that he will not be part of the starting line-up in Gdynia.
With these signings, the Polish team now consist of:
