ATK to play in ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas - Report
The move would see the squad fill one of the two empty slots in the league that were left vacant following the disbanding of the Ghost and ex-Luminosity rosters. Liquid and Renegades are the other two sides that make up the group, with ESL yet to announce what team - if any - will fill the remaining spot.
The reported selection of ATK follows the team's runner-up finish in ESL Pro League Season 9 Relegation, where they narrowly fell to Envy in the best-of-five grand final to miss out on a chance at a move-up. The sole American on that iteration of the ATK squad was Ian "motm" Hardy, although roster changes soon after the event saw the team part ways with a trio of their players to make the transition to a majority-American lineup.
The additions of Josh "oSee" Ohm and Ricky "floppy" Kemery from Singularity will offer the duo the opportunity to play their first Pro League season should the team's attendance in the league be confirmed, with the latter player having fought through 12 seasons of MDL without being able to achieve promotion.
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek and ATK in-game leader Johnny "JT" Theodosiou would also play in their first EPL season, while motm has already had the opportunity after standing-in for eUnited in place of Kaleb "moose" Jayne during Season 9.
The groups for ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas now reportedly look as follows:
ESL Pro League Season 10 will commence on Tuesday, with Group C set to run from October 14-16.
