Zellsis and Subroza leave Swole Patrol
The departure of the two players comes mere days after Swole Patrol's last place finish in Group A of ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas, resulting in the team being out of contention for the second stage of the event.
Zellsis was a part of the Swole Patrol core when it formed in January 2018, joining alongside Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir and Austin "Cooper" Abadir and playing on various iterations of the roster until joining Cloud9 on a trial at the start of the year. On Cloud9, Zellsis played at iBUYPOWER Masters, the ELEAGUE Invitational, and the IEM Katowice Major, with the team announcing his release following the end of the third event.
Now teamless, Zellsis returned to play alongside Braxton "swag" Pierce on Swole Patrol, who had lost a trio of their members in the form of Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado, Anthony "vanity" Malaspina, and Victor "food" Wong to eUnited. After being benched by Ghost at the start of the year, Subroza also made his way on to the roster, joining up alongside Gage "Infinite" Green and Michael "dapr" Gulino.
Shortly after their formation, it was announced that Lazarus had signed the roster. Few notable results followed, with the team crucially missing out on the chance to attend the StarLadder Berlin Major Americas Minor before being released by the organization in August.
Now toting Jason "neptune" Tran and Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker and once again under the Swole Patrol banner, the team attempted to qualify for DreamHack Masters Malmö, but were unable to secure a win in the closed qualifier. Their results did not improve as they made their way to Burbank, California for ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas, finishing last in their group after being unable to post a map win against FURIA, Envy, or MIBR.
Both players tweeted that they are open to offers in both North America and Europe, reflecting upon their performances and results with dismay with a look to improve.
