Lisbon to stage OMEN Atlantic Challenge, with $16,000 prize pool

Inygon has announced the first details about the OMEN Atlantic Challenge, a four-team tournament that will be held next month in Lisbon with €15,000 ($16,550) on the line.

The announcement was made ahead of the grand final of the LPCS League Cup and marks the first-ever international competition hosted by Inygon, which has partnered with Spanish tournament organiser LVP for the event.

The OMEN Atlantic Challenge will be held on November 23-24 at FIL as part of Lisboa Games Week. Four teams, determined through either qualifiers or national leagues held by Inygon and LVP, will be taking part in this tournament to vie for the first prize of almost €9,000.

kioShiMa's Heretics will travel to Lisbon next month

Heretics are the first team confirmed for the event after recently winning La Copa 2019. The French side will be joined by the champion of Portuguese league LPCS and by the winners of the Brazilian and European qualifiers, the latter of which will feature La Copa runner-up Movistar Riders and three teams coming out of open qualifiers.

More details about the open qualifiers, including dates and registration links, will be announced shortly. The prize distribution for the event is the following:

1. €8,000 ($8,825)
2. €4,000 ($4,415)
3. €2,000 ($2,205)
4. €1,000 ($1,100)

Nice to hear it. It's annoying to see a post of a MVP of a DreamHack Championship winned by Fnatic for example and the first comment it's from that scumbag "MIBR_IS_OVERRATED"

Actually most of the Portuguese fans support Furia or MIBR when we don't have a Portuguese team competing, you just noticed the brainless ones that don't.

Excellent move from Inygon being humble and grouping with LVP to make this international event in Portugal. Hope to be the first of many from you! XL from e2tech and now inygon starting moving to go international too, great news for Portugal, best of sucess for you both.

They actually were top 30-35, they need every player to step up individually now, because they don't have the star carry anymore.

movistar riders are doing good results, they just need 3-6 months to go 100% in-game, Giants is a good team too in 3-6 months they will compete a lot of better. MR isn't dead, just sleeping.
