ECS Season 8 Week 5 bracket revealed

The first matchups for the final week of ECS Season 8 in Europe and North America have been announced.

Over October 28-31, the last two teams participating in the ECS Season 8 Finals will be found through eight-team single-elimination cups in Europe and North America.

In Europe, fnatic, mousesports, and FaZe will be in competition among other notable squads, such as BIG who pushed Astralis to the limit last week.

fnatic are looking to secure another LAN appearance after impressing in Malmö and Belek

On the North American side of things, three Brazilian squads — FURIA, MIBR, and INTZ — will be looking to join countrymen Sharks at the season finals, while Complexity are hoping they can earn a spot at the LAN in their home state, Texas.

The initial matches will be played on October 28 according to the following schedule:

Europe:
17:00 Europe mousesports vs. Poland Virtus.pro
18:00 Denmark Heroic vs. Europe FaZe
20:00 Sweden fnatic vs. Germany BIG
20:30 Denmark Tricked vs. Denmark North

North America:
23:00 Brazil FURIA vs. United States ex-Singularity
23:30 United States ATK vs. United States eUnited
02:00 United States Complexity vs. Brazil INTZ
02:00 Brazil MIBR vs. United States Riot Squad

The winners of the two competitions will complete the ECS Season 8 Finals team list, which currently looks as follows:

Absolutely no chance but they can reach the of this bracket final. Just won't win with fnatic, BIG, Tricked or North. They can win close games with mouz, FaZe or Heroic.

So fnatic we're saying under Starseries that they haven't practiced in a long time because of a busy schedule. And now 1 day after Starseries finishes they will be competing in ECS qualifiers? monkaS

Of course they should, it just worries me that fnatic could get burned out and countered if they don't get the time for practice, but after this they will have about two weeks until EPL.
2019-10-27 12:38
They will have some time of after this one. They should just five it a try and if it doesm‘t work - fuck it...
2019-10-27 19:44
They are not playing other events like iem Beijing or blast z so they need epl and ecs finals or they will have 3 months of inactivity

So VP played all 5 weeks Seriously WTF ?
2019-10-27 12:48
they can due their high enough seeding, any high seeding team could have also played every week had they wanted and had time to do so (assuming they don't qualify ofc xddd...)

and why do they have this high seeding i mean they are top #22 currently and haven't won a big title for more than 2 years explain plz
2019-10-27 12:53
they finished last season top 10 in total money ECS standings despite doing totally awful, so thanks to shit system this ensured them top 10 seeding front of all the pinnacle cup teams, hence they get in every week as long as 2 teams front of them are missing which has happened every single time.
2019-10-27 12:59
Retarded seeding format , retarded qualification format , esl does it better

USA+Canada+Brazil There isn't a single good 'pure USA' team. They need Canadians and people from other countries to bring quality.

theres like 5 series and series 2 was won by heroic but it says the Avangar won both series 1 and 2 wtf its so confusing. someone explain this to me. So now why is there only 4 teams if thers 5 series and series 2 won by heroic? how do they even pick the teams whos gonna play the next series? theres a lot of teams out there, its so random i hate the ecs new format, its so stupid.
2019-10-28 07:16
RIP M1X. You guys were awesome. (ECS is still garbage though, I think ESL Pro League and the Majors will be the only ones standing after this esports arms race ends)
