Ethan claims StarSeries i-League Season 8 MVP award

Thanks to his impressive form throughout the event, Ethan "Ethan" Arnold was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of StarSeries i-League Season 8 by HLTV.org and betway.

The 19-year-old player averaged a 1.24 rating across the 19 maps Evil Geniuses played at the tournament in Belek, Turkey, proving to be the most valuable player and scooping the first MVP award of his career.

Ethan with his first HLTV x betway MVP award

Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte was brilliant in the grand final, helping Evil Geniuses lift the trophy, but the 1.73 rating in the final series of the tournament was not enough to outshine Ethan's consistent performance throughout the event, who only recorded two below-average rated maps, early on against NiP. Ethan recorded impressive Rating (1.24), ADR (86.8), and KAST (76.3%), ranking top five for the event in all three of those categories.

Close to Ethan in the MVP race was his teammate Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, as well as standouts for the second and third-placed teams, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato and Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin. The FURIA star was the second-best rated player in Turkey, behind Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, and averaged the lowest DPR, 0.54. On the other hand, CeRq stood out with high-impact kills, recording 71 opening frags (65.7% success) and 11 clutches.

Nothing new here, German, Bulgarian, Turk and Pinoy helping Canadian player to get their goals for American Team. Show me some EU teams with US players helping it? Don't make me bring up Liquid :D.

In the past 2 months, EG has beaten astralis more than Astralis has beaten EG (2:1) and EG has won more events AND made more playoffs. All Astralis did was win the major and make one final (the final they lost to EG). They are pretty even rn. The more accurate statement is Astralis=EG
2019-10-28 00:14
"All Astralis did was win the major" Laughed hard af. Cannot imagine a smaller achievement in CS. EGs "big" tournament win is worth considering in comparison
2019-10-28 06:49
EG's run in new york was far more impressive than astralis major win

Nah Astralis had to beat Liquid and NRG(EG) to win the major, which was more impressive
2019-10-28 09:30
But after astralis cemented themselves with that win, EG stormed the competition in NY and beat astralis in a bo5
