ESEA MDL S32 Europe ends; forZe, HAVU & Spirit to Global Challenge

The 32nd season of ESEA MDL has come to a close in Europe with forZe and HAVU coming out on top to clinch a spot at the LAN final, while Spirit came in third to join the duo at the Global Challenge.

After the regular season came to an end with names like AVANGAR, CR4ZY, forZe, and HAVU making it to the playoffs, it was time for the double-elimination bracket stage, which was played from Monday to Wednesday.

Three spots at the seasonal Global Challenge were on offer alongside a chance to fight for a direct ticket to the 11th season of ESL Pro League, reserved for the top-two finishers, and a place in the relegation tournament for the third-placed team.

forZe and HAVU will play for a spot in ESL Pro League Season 11

The double-elimination playoffs saw some surprises, as AVANGAR were eliminated in fifth-sixth place after losses to CR4ZY and HAVU, with Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas's side missing out on the all-important top-three finish as well after conceding a three-map series to the aforementioned Finns in the lower bracket final.

In the meantime, forZe rallied to a top-two placing through the upper bracket while HAVU came in second place, as Spirit were unable to convert either of their two chances in the upper and consolidation finals to finish third in the league.

The final standings of ESEA MDL Season 32 Europe look as follows:

1-2. Russia forZe - Global Challenge + LAN final spot
1-2. Finland HAVU - Global Challenge + LAN final spot
3. Russia Spirit - Global Challenge + EPL Relegation spot
4. Europe CR4ZY - $2,500
5-6. Kazakhstan AVANGAR
5-6. Russia pro100
7-8. Spain Movistar Riders
7-8. Belarus Nemiga
9. Denmark Tricked (withdrew from playoffs)
10. Poland AGO
11. France Heretics
12. Poland Illuminar
13. Sweden Japaleno
14. Poland PACT - to play MDL relegation
15. Europe Phoenix - to play MDL relegation
16. Sweden GamerLegion - to play MDL relegation
17. Poland Virtus.pro - to play MDL relegation
18. Turkey Demise - relegated to ESEA Advanced

The LAN final between forZe and HAVU, whose winner will advance directly to ESL Pro League Season 11, will be played in Dallas, Texas ahead of the start of the Global Challenge on December 13.
