mantuu set to join OG - Report
OG have struck a deal with ALTERNATE aTTaX to sign Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski for their soon-to-be-announced team, according to a report by 1pv.fr.
The 22-year-old will take up the AWP role in the European team after the proposed signing of SJ star Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen fell through, reportedly due to the Finnish player's ties to an old Steam account with a VAC ban.
mantuu emerged as a target after OG failed in their efforts to sign Valentin "poizon" Vasilev, who ended up being lured by Complexity.
This will be by far the biggest challenge of mantuu's career. The British talent has spent the last three years playing under German organisations PANTHERS and ALTERNATE aTTaX, averaging an impressive 1.22 rating on LAN. In that time, he has won several trophies, including three ESL Meisterschaft titles and the Esportal Global Finals crown.
This will be OG's first-ever venture into Counter-Strike, with the organisation boasting the only Dota 2 team to have won The International twice, in 2018 and 2019, as well as Super Smash Bros Melee player James "Swedish Delight" Liu.
OG's reported lineup will feature:
Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt
Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen
Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså
Issa "ISSAA" Murad
Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski
