Gen.G sign autimatic, daps, koosta
The former core of Cloud9 has been transferred to Gen.G, creating a foundation for the Korean organization's first CS:GO lineup.
Murmurs about the Korean organization entering the CS:GO space by signing the core of Cloud9 started a month ago, shortly after the North American team ended their BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen campaign with four losses and one draw.
The rumors turned out to be true, as Gen.G's team will feature Timothy "autimatic" Ta, Kenneth "koosta" Suen, and Damian "daps" Steele, a trio that formerly represented Cloud9. The last two players of the team are currently unknown, and will be announced in "the coming weeks". However, the team did set a high bar for themselves, stating that their goal is "to bring home another Major to North America".
The newly announced Gen.G roster currently looks as follows:
Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit (coach)
With this news, Cloud9 is seemingly down to just their coach James "JamezIRL" Macaulay and two players, Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas and Tyson "TenZ" Ngo. However, in the official announcement, Cloud9 only mentioned that they are retaining the Spaniard, with no mention of the Canadian player who was benched in October.
