mousesports beat G2 to win cs_summit 5

MOUZ beat an addled G2 in a three-map series with Allan "Rejin" Petersen standing in for two maps to top the fifth iteration of cs_summit.

MOUZ won the fifth cs_summit in a grand final marred by Finn "karrigan" Andersen’s mid-series departure. The Danish in-game leader had to leave to the airport after his MOUZ won the first map in overtime to catch a flight to Ukraine where he will get a visa in order to make it to Moscow later this week for EPICENTER. mouz, who already showed up to Los Angeles, California, with Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen standing in for Özgür "woxic" Eker, managed to get the best of G2 using their coach, Rejin, as their fifth, to keep their tournament streak going after victories at CAC 2019 and ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals.

Three kills by Nemanja "nexa" Isaković on the CT-side pistol round of Mirage got G2 ahead on MOUZ’ pick, but they were unable to follow it up as karrigan and company were successful in a forcebuy play on B. Robin "ropz" Kool hit 10 kills after the first four rounds, with 3-1 on the scoreboard for his team, and was off to a hot start. The two teams then traded rounds, but several failed attempts on the A site brought it back within one, 5-6, but a loss to an eco kept G2 behind, with mouz going on to win the half 9-6.

mousesports upset G2 in the decider map

G2 tied it up before the first gun round in the second half, but both teams settled into an even 12-12 as the first map started to hit critical rounds. It was finally mouz who were able to get ahead, with both ropz and David "frozen" Čerňanský over 100 ADR, but G2 brought it back to a tie in the thirtieth round to push it to overtime. After a 2-1 CT half, MOUZ were able to close out Mirage on the attack, but as soon as the map ended karrigan packed up his gear and left to the airport.

An A take by G2 kicked Vertigo off, with the Franco-Serbian side able to increase their lead to 4-0 after the first gun round, this time after planting the bomb on the B site. With Rejin standing in for karrigan, G2 quickly took the reins of the map and started to steamroll their opposition. Up 9-0, François "AmaNEk" Delaunay secured a 1vs4 afterplant clutch on A, the site that G2 had hit over and over again, adding insult to injury. mouz managed to take one round in the first half, but a 1vs1 afterplant clutch by Kenny "kennyS" Schrub in the second pistol round pushed the final to the decider.

MOUZ were not able to build momentum despite winning the T-side pistol round on Train as G2 got back on track, winning the forcebuy. Chris "chrisJ" de Jong and ropz got a second round for their team with doubles, which got mouz back in the game as they went on to take five rounds on the attacking side. A triple by NaToSaphiX helped MOUZ win the second pistol round, but they were unable to follow it up against G2’s five Galils. The map took a dark turn for the French team, however, as they kept hitting a wall against the CTs, eventually losing to MOUZ, 14-16, letting their first chance at victory with this roster slip away.

Most unfaithful french fan ??? there is nobody that would want to see the french scene do well more than me, but I don't reward incompetence with blind loyalty. Some of these players deserve criticizing being a fan isn't just "lick the player's boots no matter what and shut your mouth", you are allowed to criticize because that means you want them to fucking get their shit together and improve. If I didn't give a fuck about the french scene I wouldn't make so many posts.

What you're doing isn't criticizing LMFAO, you're whining like a little bitch, if you were actually criticizing you'd acknowledge how ct sided train can be once you get the wall of awps up, mouz is still a top 5 team, rejin for karrigan hardly mattered, mouz played triple awps and hit their shots, if you've been watching g2 whatsoever you'd see their t side is extremely weak rn, you aren't criticizing, youre bitching just to bitch

I think G2 are an incredible team and are definitely top 15 but they can’t close out games to save their lives and I think if they could close games they could be top 10. But I also think that Jackz not speaking English so well holds them back a bit but not enough as to were they choke a final when they win the second map 16-1 with a stand in and a coach and then lose the last map

LG at the time wasn’t the best in the world after the major yes but during not at all. Also liquid were 15-9 up twice in Semis on home soil also win 6 rounds when you are on map point is embarrassing and way more of a choke. You also realize that the core of Mouz was still their and in the last map in the second half Ropz and Frozen popped off and carried.

I did watch the match and also why other information like I get they lost to a coach and a stand in but Nato is also a very good awper not as good as woxic but still good and the team followed suit and did what they always do with Karrigan and Rejin new the smokes and stuff so basically it was a 4v5 with 1 more person on Mouz who just threw smokes

i think that u are aware right now that u were wrong and u just try to justify your stupid comment saying that loosing against coach a natosaphix who was -21 in series for whom u say is good awper is not worse than loosing 6 rounds against full lg roster,u are stupid or ignorant u said u watched the match after u said ropz popped of on train, and he had like 13kills i don t know much but that is not popped off just addmit u were wrong dude why are u suck pain in the arse

Also losing to ATK after losing to Astralis. This G2 lineup makes me want to break things. They should be top 10 and be winning these maps like they did vertigo. 16-1, 16-0 should’ve been the final scores. Wish I could make as much money as they do for playing a video game and choking at it.

No and yes. If I'm publicly becoming a fan of something I want to be sure that my "investment" was worth it, otherwise I will feel like a fool in my own eyes. I dont casually become a fan of a team I just like, or find good, only teams that I find exceptionally good. I'm long time karrigan fan, nothing going to change that.

It's actually a good news , at least for me ,as im a big fan of Michu and Snatchie , and therefore signing avangar means they will FINALLY be able to transfer away and find a team they both deserve to be in (maybe michu snatchie and dycha will finally play in one team ? That would mean top 10 easy ) , instead of choking with washed up snake in the grass Snax , who already destroyed vp once.
