ofnu, BL1TZ move from Chiefs to AVANT

AVANT has finalized their roster going into the 2020 with Peter "BL1TZ" Athanasatos and Chris "ofnu" Hanley, replacing Jireh "J1rah" Youakim and Jay "soju_j" Jeong.

The move sees ofnu link up with Mike "ap0c" Aliferis, reuniting the duo that represented Legacy, Winterfox, and Tainted Minds in the past, before parting ways in late 2017. BL1TZ and ofnu were a part of Chiefs since march of 2019, and helped the team establish themselves as a second/third best team in Oceania since then.

ofnu joins AVANT alongside BL1TZ

Due to the local dominance of Grayhound (now Renegades), international opportunities were limited for Chiefs, with their last such showings being at IEM Sydney and ESEA Global Challenge S31. Meanwhile, AVANT's latest international tournament was the Asia Minor in Berlin, where they finished 4th behind Grayhound, TYLOO, and MVP PK.

AVANT's new roster, that made their debut in the IEM Katowice Oceania qualifier with a 2-0 win over PC419, is as follows:

Australia Mike "ap0c" Aliferis
New Zealand Euan "sterling" Moore
Australia Jared "HaZR" O'Bree
New Zealand Chris "ofnu" Hanley
Australia Peter "BL1TZ" Athanasatos

Australia Jireh "J1rah" Youakim (bench)

Meanwhile, Chiefs's coach Fergus "ferg" Stephenson has joined the MC ESEA roster, leaving the team with just three players. The squad is not participating in the IEM Katowice qualifier, where they would most likely be invited due to past results, leaving the future of the team uncertain.

Chiefs are:

Australia Tyler "tucks" Reilly
New Zealand Ryan "zewsy" Palmer
Australia Matthew "Texta" O'Rourke

Don’t worry Australian CS outside of 100T isnt really worth following now that DickStacy left renegades
2020-01-14 10:59
wtf mens, with Hatz addition, RNG could be a solid team that can take on EU and other region teams
2020-01-14 11:04
Maybe T4 teams from EU but not any higher than that

With Dick they beat Liquid, FaZe and EG last year and took maps off Mouz and Vitality. If they're better with Hatz they're solid T2 minimum.
2020-01-14 13:08
FaZe is a joke, EG is inconsistent asf, and Liquid were in a huge slump.
2020-01-14 17:09
what consistency have they shown? apart from being consistent in being inconsistent

And? All this guy said is that they have potential, consistency is irrelevant.

Yes, but then they lost immediately after. They’ll have 2 shock wins a year and then they’ll lose to all the big teams. Just look at EPL S10 finals, they only beat Sharks, which hasn’t really been all that relevant honestly, then lost to mouse, and even thought they took a map off, it was nuke, which is literally the one map that they ever play and win on against big teams, and even that was a close 16-14

What's your point? T4 teams don't achieve this and they've just made a change which, if positive, could make them much better.

Dude I'm old but there's no excuse for being shit at CS in your early 20s. It's so fucking easy if you aren't just dogshit.
2020-01-14 22:41
Yeah it's true, but a roster change doesn't mean a better roster
2020-01-15 11:48
Don't disagree at all. Better fraggers may cause issues in other ways. Team play > fragging in the general scheme of things.

Says the penis who goes for cloud9, the ultimate tier 9000 roster of South Africans and horrible American players.
2020-01-15 06:21
yea i go for c9 got a problem? they're actually good right now and will fk any Australian team out there including 100T if they play smart
2020-01-15 06:24
ROFL they're absolute dog shit.
2020-01-15 07:37
ok buddy
2020-01-15 16:53
'buddy' they've beaten absolutely nobody of note, and funnily enough their next game is actually against Renegades, who are likely going to stomp them. 100T would destroy them, that's a top 5 team and cloud9 isn't even top 50.
2020-01-15 21:40
funny because c9 is ranked 18th. also i will keep track of your comment so i can laugh about you saying renegades will stomp c9
2020-01-15 22:22
Look forward to it, after Renegods bend over C9 and dry penetrate their anuses I will make sure you hear about it.
2020-01-19 21:27
ROFL cloud9 officially tier 900 POS team with no skill
2020-01-24 23:09
ROFL Absolute dogsh1t of a team C9 steam rolled again in a BO3. "they're actually good right now and will fk any Australian team out there including 100T if they play smart" LOLOLOL dude even the 10th ranked OCE team would crush C9, disgrace to NA CS this team is.
