DreamHack Open Anaheim closed qualifier brackets revealed

The brackets for the closed portion of the European and North American DreamHack Open Anaheim qualifiers have been announced.

Four teams from each of the two regions advanced through their respective open qualifiers to earn spots in the closed stage of the qualification process, which will play out in its entirety on Sunday.

In Europe, the winner of the closed qualifier will earn the sole spot on offer at the $100,000 event in Anaheim, California, while North American teams will have the opportunity to fight for two spots at the event in their home region.

Snappi and company will look to earn a spot in Anaheim on Sunday

The European open qualifier saw HAVU, Winstrike, SKADE, and AVEZ emerge victorious through a grueling bracket to join a quartet of invited teams, all of whom currently reside in the top thirty of the rankings. Heroic enter the closed qualifier as the highest seeded team, setting up a match against the Poles of AVEZ, while forZe will face a fellow CIS side in the form of Winstrike on the opposite side of the bracket.

The first-round match-ups in the Europe closed qualifier are:

Denmark Heroic vs. Poland AVEZ
Europe GODSENT vs. Finland HAVU
Europe CR4ZY vs. Bulgaria SKADE
Russia forZe vs. Kazakhstan Winstrike

In North America, the majority of top seeded teams prevailed in making their way through the bracket, with INTZ, Triumph, Chaos, and Riot Squad all earning spots in the closed portion of the event. There, the invited sides of Complexity, eUnited, Singularity, and Gen.G await, with Damian "daps" Steele's squad set to play their first official match with Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand in tow against Chaos.

The opening match-ups for North America are:

United States eUnited vs. United States Triumph
Europe Complexity vs. Brazil INTZ
United States Singularity vs. United States Riot Squad
