Blast is just entertainment value srsly. Between IEM and majors. B site solid tier 2. EPL is where it’s at. Even has pro in the name.

Lets say 10 tier 2tier/tier3 teams buy in to Bsite now for a 5 year period, how will you switch/upgrade to tier 1 teams and thereby get more viewers? - will there be a buyout - who will get that money, the teams?
2020-01-28 21:17
probably teams can sell their slot maybe if becomes popular they expand number of teams etc
2020-01-29 01:06

2020-01-29 14:58
Still in the process of listening to the podcast version, and in the middle of the CSPPA vs EPL discussion. Here's one thing I think a lot of people in the community don't realize. I saw many on twitter insulting the CSPPA and ESL both for having focused their statement and apology on the communication side of thing (not having advised dropped teams earlier), and not on the reduction of the number of teams in itself. This makes no sense to me : ESL run their own league, they make the rules, and, as explained at length during this episode, have a hard time being profitable. If they're convinced reducing the number of teams is the way to go, it's their right. If ESL had changed the rules of this season to announce, in advance, how many teams would keep a spot in the next season and according to what criteria, nobody would have been able to complain. Or they could have dropped the ESL Pro League name and launched a new league under a new name with 24 invited teams, and again, nobody could have really faulted them for it. Would the end result have been any different ? No. That said, the way they handled communication for dropped teams *was* awful, their apology and the CSPPA's disappointment were totally warranted.
